Should network "news" anchors be given cabinet positions in Obama's administration?

Something like the ministry of Truth in 1984?

"War is Peace," "Freedom is Slavery," "Ignorance is Strength." .

With the exception of Gwen Ifel, all are staunch Republicans who were either confrontational when they interviewed him, or delivered criticism of Obama every time they had an opportunity to do so. No reward of any kind would be deserved.

Moreover, none of the five mentioned have the political acumen to succeed in any cabinet position, no matter who wins the election. (Although I think Jon Stewart would rock as Press Secretary!)

Why stop with Anchors?

Oprah..Secretary of State

Rosie O'Donnell..Ambassador to Iran

Whoopie Goldburg...Supreme court justice.

Colmes...Four star General.

The question assumes they are not paid already

If Obama gets in, they certainly deserve to be rewarded by him.

No,that would be below their pay level.

Well I am CERTAIN they will work admirably alongside Barack Obama and that much he can be proud of......(and so can they).
