Canis Lupus. Bad call. You can get dogs that are part wolf (1/2, 3/4) But be aware if you are a female and the dog is the male he will want to be in charge. They are VERY loyal and unless you get the dog to accept your family as part of the pack, there could be trouble. Why not get a hedgehog or rattle snake?

I don't think it is wise to get any type of wild animal, and try to make it domestic.

I personally love wolves too, but I think I will just stick to huskies, since they are the closest thing you can get to a wolf (within the domestic pet market)! However, these dogs require lots of open space, and they love the cold. So to keep them happy, you need to be living somewhere that is suitable for them. Also, they are really energetic dogs, who need lots of attention as well as maintenance (they SHED A LOT)! Other than that they are very loyal, but are territorial when it comes to letting a new person in your house (or life). Like mentioned above, if you are a female owner and you get a male husky, they will become very protective of you (but with time they will come to accept most people).

Hope all that helps, if not google huskies and need more!

My sister once had a wolf hybrid and then she read online that once they reach a certain age, their instinct to attack kicks in and they will attack anything that runs. We had a baby brother who was always playing and didn't want to take the chance of him getting killed, so she had to sell to someone who lived alone in the country. I would not suggest getting one. Just get a domesticated dog.

All animals can be good pets when treated with love. The only problem will be that wild animals require a lot ofmaintenancee. It can be time consuming and expensive. They eat more food and require more space than regular domestic pets.

Please leave wild animals alone. They can seem tame for a while & then turn on you.
