if you only want 4 or 5 fish you should look into mabey some african cichlids, or dwarf cichlids

The number one fish you should put in your tank is a Bristlenose Pleco.

This is the only kind of pleco that actually eats algae the cheap walmart ones do not eat algae they are meat eaters and grow huge.

Also do not buy the chinese algae eater as they do not eat algae.

*This fish is assuming you are going to have this heated and filtered.

After that fish it depends on what you want to do with fish. African cichlids have amazing colors but are very aggressive. If you like to watch fights this is a good way to go.

Easy to breed - go with Convict Cichlids they breed like rabits.

Peaceful and easy to breed - any livebearer i prefer swordtails

its really to small for cichlids you should have 50 gallons are better. sorry . but if you want something pretty you might want to get a red devil they are very aggresive and should be by there self . hope this helps and good luck

but anyway, i have 2 dwarf gouramis, guppies, swordtails, and 3 platies

you could only have male guppies and platies if you don't want babies and female swordtails but it has been heard of guppies mating with swordtails
