Water as fuel for cars. Scam or Genuine.?

There are a few u tube enteries making claim that cars can be converted to run on water!

If this is a truely revolutionary fact, why have we seen or heard very little about it?Why have the car manufactures not included this option in their range?(surely it would be their best selling vehicle)Why hasnt it been adopted by the military?

Do you know anywhere in the U.K. that does these conversions, commercially?

Scam and yes I can prove it, if you want to see the numbers post an edit on the percentage increase in fuel mile they claim you'll get and I'll show you why it can't work.

Okay, are you ready to learn a little lesson you non belivers? Anyone who belives you can't run a combustion engine with hydrogen; which is produced from the HHO(water)generators, is a closed minded, uneducated individual. The non belivers say, "oh, it won't work because of some hydrothermal law" which i have not researched. Or that it won't work because you can't get more energy out, than you put in, which is a law of physics and that's true. You have to think outside the box: why can't you have two, three, or even four HHO systems running at once on one car? All it takes is electricity and we are pretty good at doing that. Did anyone ever hear about the car manufactuers converting the 12-volt electrical systems on cars to more efficient 32-volt or even higher voltage systems to reduce the amount of copper going into these more and more advanced systems on cars? So producing enough hydrogen to run a car is possible. One reason it's not a commercial yet is because of it's high flamability and it's lighter than air quality, basically it's dangerous. Just like the old prototype mustangs that had the fuel tank to close to the passenger cabin which could burst into flames in a severe accident and torch the passengers. They fixed the problem and now we have safer cars; it's going to be the same with hydrogen. And for anyone who is extremely interested in physics or has an open mind, check out a Guy named Stanley Meyer who died bout 15 years ago that patened a HHO Generator that defied the law you can't get more out than you put in www.waterpoweredcar.com

Genuine, I have just tried it myself and it works. The difference is that now a lot of people are doing this, publishing it on youtube and so on. The idea is to really spread the word. because in the past a few great inventions have come out but without the internet the inventors were barely known and were shut down by big petrol. It's just a normal human behavior under the influences of big money and power. This behavior has happened in so many ways in human history. I wouldn't even call this a conspiracy! Besides even if it is a well accepted idea, change takes a long time, it could be several years before automakers would implement this in their cars even if they knew about. As an experimenter of this, another reason for taking time is that there are still many problems to solve before perfecting the system.

Eventually the masses will demand this and change will happen.

There have been stories around every 20 years or so regarding this, but some believe it's just another urban myth. Some believe that the invention has happened and each time one of the big car producers have bought the rights and hidden it all from the public.

Whether that's true or not, it IS possible to run a hydrogen based car ( takes the hydrogen out of the water and expels the oxygen - rough translation ) there are a number of these in trials, most in Japan, and it should not be long before commercial production is possible. That may be why the OPEC countries are squeezing every penny they can, while they can!

It's possible and i think you know it. The question you should ask is why do we still use oil. Then ask your Government why. When you vote if your from the USA. Ask your candidate Obama is telling you the answer. Be brave and vote for the truth. Cars don''t run my life but i'm not from the USA and live a romantic car life that the media portray on telly. Ask yourself Ferrari why and what for. Get on a roller coaster it's cheaper. Hope i have answered your question ore at least made you think. Sorry just read your other bit of the question i see you are from the uk.

It's a scam. You can make a car that runs on hydrogen and oxygen but it takes more energy to create them than you get by burning them in an engine.

    from wiki:

Oxyhydrogen is often mentioned in conjunction with devices that claim to operate a car using water as a fuel. Because the energy required to split water exceeds the energy recouped by burning it, these devices reduce, rather than improve fuel efficiency

No - it's genuine. The water is used to manufacture hydrogen by electrolysis. Effectively electricity is converted to a chemical fuel. Hydrogen can then be burned to create water and a lot of heat - that can drive the cylinders in an engine.

Hydrogen fuel cells are phenomenally expensive, which is why car manufacturers don't include it as an option.

If water's left to boil for too long it evaporates right? Surely the idea of using water to run cars just wouldn't work. Besides it's an essential factor in the growth of all species, by using it to run vehicles would leave less for us & many plants & animals to survive on =)

Mage you answered your own question...it's a scam for the unwary.....yes, you can use hydrogen to run a car but the energy used to break it out of water is more than you would use just using gasoline......and as you said, it would be in every auto parts store in the world if it worked.

No water cannot burn in its natural state yet no doubt the explanations on u tube are not the real ones. The real answerwater being H2o if you separate the hydrogen from the oxygen through an electrical separation process using nickle and zinc I believe or is it copper once separated as gas both combust however this is expenxive and requires more and cheaper technology befor we will use itto save our environment.
