Please come to Boston, wasn't there another song from the girls point of view?
I seem to remember a song that was from the girls point of view, where she was trying to get him to come back? Anybody remember the name of the song.
1 AnswerRock and Pop10 years agoWhat would the highest rank that an Explosive Ordnance Disposal officer be and still disarm a bomb?
I’m writing a book and one character is in the Navy with the Explosive Ordnance Disposal and is injured while disarming a dirty bomb, he is exposed to a lethal dose of radiation. I want to make him at least an officer, but I don’t know if an officer would disarm a bomb or if that would be enlisted only.
His rank really isn’t that important to the story, but I want to make sure he could be that rank.
3 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoWhat the problem with checking to see if someone is in the country legally?
An immigrant or a temporary worker is REQURIED by FEDERAL law to keep their papers on them at all times. So if you get stopped and don’t have papers you are either a citizen or in the country illegally. They are the only people who will be detained for a check to see if they are here legally. Since most people carry papers, IE driver’s license SSN card etc it should only take a few seconds to separate those who are here legally and those that need to be sent back to their home country. It might take a little longer if you don’t have any means to identify yourself, but it is a small price to pay to get rid of people who have proven they don’t respect the laws of the US.
Oh and don’t give me the bull about, what if they’ve been here since they were a kid nonsense, they only have to look at their parents and ask them why they broke the law and put them into this situation.

Thanks
2 AnswersOther - Yahoo Mail1 decade agoOk here’s one problems I have with AGW.?
According to the IPCC the simplified expression radiative forcing for CO2 is
http://www.grida.no/publications/other/ipcc_tar/?s...
(yahoo won't let me do the symbols correctly so I link to the IPCC report)
If I did my math correctly that means we should have warmed up by about 5c.
Since we haven't warmed up by anything close to that, did I do my math incorrectly, did the IPCC revise the math, is something else happening to prevent that forcing, or is the IPCC just wrong?
10 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoGovernment heath care end of life?
Under the proposed government heath care plan will grandma be force to read something like this.

My favorite question is
"m. I can no longer think clearly-I am confused all the time."
So if you can't think clearly, just how good are the answers.
4 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWhat’s to keep an employer from dumping their insurance plan once we have Government Health Care?
Ok I’ve been told over and over again that if I like my health care plan I can keep it, but my heath care plan is paid for by my employer, (it’s one of the reason I work for them), but if it’s going to be cheaper to force the employees onto the government heath care plan, why wouldn’t they just drop their current plan?
So far nothing I’ve read in the bills or heard have said that they can’t do just that. In fact it may be cheaper to “pay” the government then to worry about penalties if their current plan doesn’t make the grade.
So tell me what is preventing and employer from dropping their plan in favor of the government’s plan?
7 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoFull Faith and Credit, GLBT Marriage?
Under article IV “Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State….” so a marriage MUST to be recognized by every state, but some state's constitution forbid them for recognizing GLBT marriages, so does that make all GLBT marriages illegal, since they can't be offered Full Faith and Credit?
I've read a lot of answers on this question and most people miss the point, we're talking about a state constitution, not state law. In law for for example a girl could get married in one state and move to another state where she isn't old enough to get married, and the state she moved too MUST recognize that marriage, even though it couldn't be preformed in that state.
So can a state through it constitution stop all GLBT marriages?
I hope that was clear, if not let me know and I'll try and clear it up.
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoI was given an offer to take over our gym.?
The master of our gym just got transferred to another state, he is currently instructing in Tae Kwon Do, he ask if I was interested in taking over the gym.
I know I'll have to bring in another master for testing and have access to 4 masters that can do the testing (they are too far away to take over the gym).
Currently the gym covers all its rent, supplies etc, with some left over, no much, the current master did it more to keep in shape and teach than make a profit.
Currently, I know there is no liability insurance only a hold harmless document that students or their guardians are required to sign.
So those of you that instruct what questions do I need to ask and what do I need to look out for.
My other option would be to complete the training of the current higher ranked students (on the side) to black belt and close the school. If I take that route at what rank should we cut it off, a year to complete six months or what?
Thanks in advance.
2 AnswersMartial Arts1 decade agoHHO people a chance to explain how it works?
Having been told I just don’t get it I’m going to give you HHO guys a chance to explain a few things
1. It has been said by many of the web sites that when using a Brown’s gas, or HHO generator I need to change out my oxygen sensor because of the extra oxygen, but isn’t Brown’s gas or HHO already the perfect mix of hydrogen and oxygen? That is when Brown’s gas or HHO is burnt there is no extra oxygen coming from that system.
So the Brown’s gas or HHO doesn’t have any excess oxygen to spare the amount of Brown’s gas or HHO (claims up to 10 liters per minute) is very small compared to amount of air entering the system. A car driving 60 mph that gets 20 MPG will consume 1824 liters of air per mile or minute the amount of HHO or Brown’s gas is about 0.54% of all the air entering the system, and would displace 2.1 liters of oxygen giving us even less oxygen. (one liter of air contain .21 liters of oxygen).
So just where is this extra oxygen coming from?
2. Why don’t I see a dramatic increase in HP? After all if my engine is suddenly more efficient why don’t we see a marked increase in HP? Does it not stand to reason? If I am suddenly getting 40%+ more fuel mileage wouldn’t at least some of that be in the way of HP. If now then why not?
More questions once someone pushing HHO answers these.
And if anyone else would like to add to the list or answer these questions feel free.
3 AnswersAlternative Fuel Vehicles1 decade agoWhat do you think about my answer to this E-mail
Hello Richard,
You have received a message from another user!
From: Richard is dumb
Subject: you are dumb
Message: you obviously dont know anything about how cars work or browns gas. maybe you should go back to school and learn math, physics, and chemistry you moron because all the values you posted are completly wrong and if your best excuse is why dont the car companies sell it, then you fail. good job at being one of those internet idiots that put unreliable information on the internet.
My answer
First oft insulting someone won’t win them over to your side.
Second I’ve worked with brown’s gas, car engines, etc probably more then most people you know.
I’ve taken calculus, physics and chemistry as well as computer science. I put myself through college working in a machine shop, as a mechanic, and many other jobs.

3 AnswersMartial Arts1 decade agoWhat's going to happen to those convicted under DC gun ban now that the supreme court struck down the law?
Do they get their records expunged or will they get some kind of compensation for the extra time they spent in jail. I mean after all the state had no right to put these people in jail so what's going to happen to now?
7 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoCan I do the same thing as the UN does and censure all the pro-man made global warming people?
For the second time this week, the International Climate Science Coalition (ICSC) was kicked off the press schedule for the United Nations' climate conference in Bali, Indonesia.
“Earlier in the week, UN officials in Bali closed down the ICSC's first press conference there. Black interrupted the press conference and demanded the scientists immediately cease. She threatened to have the police physically remove them from the premises.”
Black is Barbara Black; Black is NGO liaison officer for the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Bali.
Yep nothing like winning a debate by making sure the other side can’t say anything. You might not like what they say, but they should have at least been able to say it.
5 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoOpen Letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations?
We have 100 scientists many of whom were on the UN IPCC who state that climate control is futile. In the open letter they stated:
“Contrary to the impression left by the IPCC Summary reports:
z The average rate of warming of 0.1 to 0. 2 degrees Celsius per decade recorded by satellites during the late 20th century falls within known natural rates of warming and cooling over the last 10,000 years.
z Leading scientists, including some senior IPCC representatives, acknowledge that today's computer models cannot predict climate. Consistent with this, and despite computer projections of temperature rises, there has been no net global warming since 1998. That the current temperature plateau follows a late 20th-century period of warming is consistent with the continuation today of natural multi-decadal or millennial climate cycling.”
Can we now get on with life the do the really important stuff, like ending hunger?
2 AnswersGlobal Warming1 decade agoI don't know if this is the right place to ask this but, girls and showers?
Ok I’m writing a book and one character is going to take a shower. This character is a girl in High School so it’s girl’s locker room. I need to know something, Do girls in general wrap a towel around themselves to walk to the shower and after they dry off, or not.
I don’t need details; I just need to know, so my character is in character so to speak. I want her to be believable.
Thanks.
