Did I miss the October surprise?

The time for the October surprise has passed....only 8 days left. A "surprise" at this point will look like a political ploy at best and a desperate lie at worst (whether it is true or not).

So was the October surprise something I missed or overlooked? Or did republicans play all their cards too early this year???

It was that infamous video tape of Michelle Obama using the word "whitey"--the one no one can find.

No, wait. it was that lawsuit that Philip Berg was filing against Obama to make him prove his citizenship or step down. Ooops, sorry. That lawsuit was thrown out of court.

Maybe it was that Obama had gay sex in the back of a limo. Ooops, wrong again--the guy failed a lie detector test.

    Maybe it's that.....

  • Any October surprise has to be carefully timed. Sadly, most in our society cannot hold their attention to one subject for longer than two weeks. Because of this, a surprise must happen before the weekend so the talking heads can get their opinions in. However, too early in the week before an election and it's overcooked.

A well timed surprise will be brought forth either Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Al Qaeda has promised an October surprise as well but it's more than likely just talk to get their names in the press. They desire money and power just like everyone and when they're not talked about they feel left out of equation.

Dems are also good at October surprises; it's fairly common between both parties.

Sean Handjobby promised an "October Surprise", as did Rush. Of course, they also predicted one in 2006, but the surprise for them came on election day in November. Maybe that's what they are referring to, the death of the "permanent Republican majority" next week.

Apparently McCain taped over the Michelle/Whitey video with an episode of Matlock, so there will be no October surprise..

What October surprise - the Reps had very few cards to begin with. They started full tilt with Palin and quickly ran out of gas.

LOL the october surprise to the republicans is this whole 'Obama is not a US citizen' thing. Anyone with a brain would know that he is a citizen, guess it's no surprise to me. =)

Mrs. Palin's scientific information possibly, yet they on no account materialized...the marketing campaign refused to launch them. i think of that would have placed a give up to all the fuss happening approximately that challenge....

I'm sorry to say, I don't think so. And while I agree with your analysis, I think the Republican party has gotten soo wiggy, they barely try and hide it anymore. I don't think they'll have any compunction about pulling something out of their hat at the last minute. And I don't think it'll be good for any of us.
