Question about implantation bleeding?

OK, so my husband and I are on our first month of TTC #1. My last period started on Oct 9th and lasted six days (longer than usual because I just went off my BC). Anyway, he and I BD'd on the 17th and 19th (he's only home on weekends). I was getting my normal pains that I get when I ovulate (or when I'm pretty sure I'm ovulating) right around that time and then I noticed spotting this weekend (the 25th). Since I just went off BC, I know my cycle may be a bit screwy because I am only regular when I'm on BC.

My big question is, is it possible I'm pregnant? The spotting lasted about 24 hours and was a light pink color when I wiped (sorry if that's TMI!). I've never had that before so maybe I'm just way too hopeful that it's implantation bleeding.

If you have any experience with this, please help me out!

breakthrough bleeding usually occurs about 7-14 days after conception so it is possible. Give it a couple weeks and take a test. Just know that the test may not show as positive just yet so no worries but just take two to be sure. Hope it works out the way you want!

I've had implantation bleeding about a month ago which was also a light pink color, but mines only lasted a couple of hours. You are pregnant for sure if the implantation bleeding is not followed by the actual period. And of course after the famous hormonal pregnancy test.

  • Implantation bleeding is actually kind of unusual. Only about 25% of pregnant women experience it. As for the bleeding, it is totally possible it was just an irregular period from going off BC--but I'm in your same boat. I went off BC about 3 months ago, and I still haven't had a real period--but I did bleed a little for one day a couple of weeks ago, and I'm not going to lie--I hope it was implantation bleeding!!!

Anyway, some women get lucky and get pregnant in their first month off BC. Others (like myself) are not so lucky. Good luck and lots of baby dust!! You COULD be pregnant, given that it cams only 16 days after your last period.

i've been pregnant 3 times and have never experienced implantation bleeding, actually only a very small % (like 15 of 20) of woman do experience it.

sounds very much like implantation bleeding, you would have been ovulating at this time and being 5 days after this would be right for implantation

I wouldn't put too much stock in it because you are just coming off of the birth control. Also you can really feel very pregnant when coming off of birth control as well. I am not staying you are not pregnant I just don't want you to be too crushed if you are not.
