Why should I vote for Obama and not for McCain?

He promotes affordable, accessible health care. He promotes tax credits for companies who keep jobs in America for American workers. He is very well educated. He was on the law review at Harvard Law School, which is extremely difficult and shows a great work ethic and intelligence.

He wants to finalize this war in Iraq instead of dragging it out for 50 more years for no reason. He is not part of the Republican machine that has created all of the current problems. He offers hope for America.

Obama, pledged that in his first act as president he will sign the freedom of choice act. A bill which would cancel any restriction on abortions. So if you want a partial birth abortion legal again vote for Obama.

i think you should vote for obama because well he is a better choice for this country. I mean everyone who is voting for mccain is voting for him just because he is christian. i mean we want our country to be a better country and it doesnt matter who is ruling it. the only thing that matters is that we can bring our economy back to the top!

  • You shouldn't do you really want America to turn into a socalist country, kinda like Russia . Don't just vote for the wrong person because everyone else is or because of what the canidate looks like. Everyones vote makes a difference, so why waste it on voting for Obama just because he is cool and everyone wants to vote for him.

Middle class families will see their taxes cut – and no family making less than $250,000 will see their taxes increase. The typical middle class family will receive well over $1,000 in tax relief under the Obama plan, and will pay tax rates that are 20% lower than they faced under President Reagan. According to the Tax Policy Center, the Obama plan provides three times as much tax relief for middle class families as the McCain plan.

Both John McCain and Barack Obama have proposed tax plans that would substantially increase the national debt over the next ten years, according to a newly updated analysis by the non-partisan Tax Policy Center. Compared to current law, TPC estimates the Obama plan would cut taxes by $2.9 trillion from 2009-2018. McCain would reduce taxes by nearly $4.2 trillion. Obama would give larger tax cuts to low- and moderate-income households and pay some of the cost by raising taxes on high-income taxpayers. In contrast, McCain would cut taxes across the board and give the biggest cuts to the highest-income households.

Under Obama families making more than $250,000 will pay either the same or lower tax rates than they paid in the 1990s. Obama will ask the wealthiest 2% of families to give back a portion of the tax cuts they have received over the past eight years to ensure we are restoring fairness and returning to fiscal responsibility. But no family will pay higher tax rates than they would have paid in the 1990s. In fact, dividend rates would be 39 percent lower than what President Bush proposed in his 2001 tax cut.

Obama’s plan will cut taxes overall, reducing revenues to below the levels that prevailed under Ronald Reagan (less than 18.2 percent of GDP). The Obama tax plan is a net tax cut – his tax relief for middle class families is larger than the revenue raised by his tax changes for families over $250,000. Coupled with his commitment to cut unnecessary spending, Obama will pay for this tax relief while bringing down the budget deficit.
