I hear concern about a us voting democrats into the senate, house and presidency. Is that really so bad?
We are concerned about one party having all the power in government. Is that so bad? Has his ever happened before? when?

They won´t likely have a supermajority in the senate, so the GOP can still do a filibuster on important issues (that is, literally talking so long that the other side never gets to do the vote in the senate.)
It isn´t bad, if it is not for a long time. It reflects the will of the voters. As long the Democrats don´t abuse their powers, and I don´t see them doing so, it´s all good. Also, the midterm elections are mostly anti-incumbent, so that could play out well for the GOP. Clinton wasn´t able to defend the Dem majority in 1994, Bush lost in 2006.

I' m not supporting either party,so don't make out like I do.
It's just where we have spoiled the Republicans into being in office for so long. They are just afraid they are finally going to lose to the Democrats. The government will probably become corrupt if some political party other than the Republicans doesn't get elected in the next 20 years or so.
Again, I am not giving hints as to who to vote for.

If you believe Obama and the Democrats will only raise taxes on the rich google this:
House Democrats Contemplate Abolishing 401(k) Tax Breaks
Powerful House Democrats are eyeing proposals to overhaul the nation’s $3 trillion 401(k) system, including the elimination of most of the $80 billion in annual tax breaks that 401(k) investors receive.
It is us in the middle class that will lose this tax break
That is $80 billion in additional taxes on the middle class.

This country cannot survive as a one party nation.
We need at least two parties in order to keep balance and keep this nation free from dictatorship.
Neither Republican or Democrat should have absolute power over the rule of this nation.

If you want a government that could morph itself into a greater power, sure. If you want something less democratic, no checks and balances. Filibuster-proof. I don't know about you, but that scares me a bit. We could hope it'd just mean things would actually get done without gridlock, but it's a little too much power in a super majority. :|
And no, the GOP has never had super majority, just majority.

The Greeks wrote tragedies about it.
Essentially, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
An example today was the Obama campaign sanctioning a TV station because Biden was asked difficult questions. It is already starting.

You may as well just send them your checkbook. There will be absolutely no control over what they do with your tax money.

There's nothing wrong with that. If McCain becomes president, he'll have a lot of trouble getting anything through because of the Democrat majority. Having everyone working together is a good thing.
I wonder if all of these people who think one party rule is awful voted for Kerry in 2004. I doubt it. Yet, now that it's the Democrats who might have power, you condemn one party rule. Republican hypocrisy at its best.
