When do we reapply for financial aid for the spring term? ?

I don't know if it differs in each state but I attend the University of Tennessee and we don't apply for the spring semester. We apply for fall and spring at the same time because that is considered the formal year. Ex. 2008-2009 includes Fall 2008 and Spring 2009. But we are required to fill out a financial aid application every year for the next year and the best time to do that is January 1st-March, the due date is usually posted around school. Reason is because if you're one of the first to apply, you are also one of the ones considered for limited grants, scholarships and so forth. I hope I answered your question.
