How do I pray to God every day, hour, and minute?

Do I keep repeat ting my prayers?

Do I pray for help?

Do I pray for only important things?

How do I know the results are of my prayers?

Update:

There are some things that I pray for every day, and other things that I don't. Some things like safety, I pray for once a day. Sometimes the Lord will bring things to my attention, then I pray that minute.

    Hello Ralph,

I'm going to give you a rather long answer to a short first question. <smile>

In essence, in order to pray every day, hour, and minute you would have to live your life AS a prayer. Let all that you are... be manifested by the positive Spiritual Principles of your life. That is the most genuine prayer of all.

Anyone can recite memorized words, but if your energy and emotion and intention aren't there... it's basically a hollow prayer. It fulfills the letter but not the intention of what I'd call real prayer. Real prayer opens the heart and touches the soul.

Prayer delivers help. <smile> But it might not be what you'd think. It could be a person you didn't know showing up to help you when you thought you were in a hopeless situation. It could be remarkable "coincidence." It could be finding the internal strength you didn't know you had in the face of a difficult situation.

It could be any number of things, but it doesn't usually take the form of a lottery check; it's far more subtle than that. But it does take a heightened awareness to 'see' it. Once you do, you can see it all around you. <smile>

    Hope this helps.

    Warmly,

    Tara

I'm not a religious person, but doesn't God help those who help themselves? Praying every minute of every day would only be a waste of time. You can't rely on God for everything, especially the things you can accomplish on your own.

If praying works the way people think it does, then I don't think repeating them would do anything but (perhaps) make you feel better.

About what you should pray for, I don't think anyone can answer that. It's not like the hand of God will descend from the heavens and slap you for praying too often. Do what you need to feel happy.

You won't know that the results happen because of your prayers. Even some of my more religious friends say that praying is silly and doesn't work.

Why would you have to do that? That's not good, anyway, even as a devoted Christian. You need balance between reading the Bible (and thinking about it; not just reading), and you need time to serve your church, focus on school/your job, family, other stuff.

People often repeat the same prayers

You can pray for help, or you can simply be in prayer to meet God in focus

You should pray for important things, but that doens't mean you have to necessarily pray FOR things

You know the "results" of your prayer when you establish a stranger faith in God, or if you "get" whatever you might have prayed for, or if you don't get it.

You can pray for anything which u feel good for u. It is between you and the God. The result of your prayer will be seen in Increase of your Faith in the Almighty God. This life is test for all the humans to recognise and obey the Almighty God. Every moment is a test. To remember this always we need periodical prayers like 5 times a day. Like charging of batteries. Religion is not just we go to church on Sundays or to mosques on Fridays or to temples on some auspicious times, then other times we live as we like. Religion should control our actions all the time. Then whole life becomes a prayer. Like how the atoms and other objects in the universe is always doing their duty, we also become aligned with the nature. God don’t need our prayers. It is man who needs to pray to be straight in his life.

Islamic way of 5 times a day is the best. It is there in Bible that Jesus placed his forehead on the ground to pray his Father. Like wise Moses also did to pray to the Almighty God. But today no jew or Christian does this, but muslims does this in the 5 times prayer.

Prayer in Islam is a time bound duty. Praying 5 times daily in the right time since our childhood will give us an immense power to manage our time through out our life efficiently. Today we see many of us don’t do many things at the right time. This bad behaviour can be eliminated by praying which keeps us to do all things at the right time.

You dont pray to get results. You pray for it is an act of worship where u should be thanking god for everything he has given u. EG. food on the table.

You should recite, In the name of God, the most kind the most merciful when doing most things... Like getting out of bed, having a shower, leaving the house, when driving...

YES you can pray for help.

It depends what is important to u.

Finally i think u will see results when u stop asking for things and be grateful for what u have,

Actually their was a certain way to pray according to the Israelites you had to face east and pray to Yahweh and extol him above all other gods as the maker. Then your prayers would work. Their were also prayer movements the Israelites would do.

Look around you and see the people in the world who need help. If in some way you can provide assistance do so. If you can't, pray for them for the moment they are in your mortal life. Everywhere there is a world of hurt, heartache and violence, a world of corruption and sin, but also a world waiting for the right prayer and miracle to redeem itself. Jesus provides that miracle and he waits for you and us to request that action. Be that prayer so he can provide the action and cure. He wants to make the world a better place. He wants all of us to be both men/women of prayer and action. Jesus I humbly ask this in your name. Amen.

I personally got frustrated with god not answering my prayers many times. In fact I didn’t notice that my prayers were answered somewhat above the mathematical probability.

Later it came as no surprise, as all I wanted is to bribe god so that he will increase my feelings of superiority in respect to others.

In truth a prayer is a desire that comes from the heart that one can not control. We are built in such a way that, in most cases, we are unable to expose and know precisely what our desires are, so even our own prayers are concealed from us.

If you wish to know more about what prayer is here is a very short video: http://www.kabbalah.info/engkab/kabbalah-video-cli...

    Best wishes to you.

You don't have to pray ever minute. The point is to keep the line open between you and God. Don't pray and just "hang up." Let God be with you all the time.
