To all the yummy mummies... ?

How long did it take for you to loose the baby weight and how many pounds did you gain during pregnancy. I am exercising my behind off as well as having a very lean diet. I see a lot of ladies who have 2 year olds have their slim figure back. I was wondering if it really takes that long? I had a baby 8wks ago.i put on 48lbs during pregnancy. Only lost at total of 18lbs after birth and currently..Any ideas? I did breast feed for a short time.

It depends on when you get the motivation to loose it. Some moms get it right away, others later. Some never get the motivation.

I was planning my (oldest) sons 1st birthday when it hit me that I hadn't lost any of the 70lbs I had gained. 6-7 months later, it was gone.

My youngest is 8 months old and I'm still waiting for the motivation, although I have lost some. I think it's just from chasing them around, lol.

Well I am not sure if i am a good example but hre it goes .

    Before pregnancy weight i was 99 pounds . 2 days before birth i was 152 pounds . After 10 months i was 103 pounds .

How i lost it I have no idea cause I kept eating ice cream at 11 PM at night just like the way i used to when i was pregnant . But one thing for sure is I breastfed for the whole time plus i ate very healthy, homemade ,not fatty foods . And i shopped a lot if that counts for exercise because i was going up and down the MOA looking for outfits that wont show my pouch ,yet sexy.

I am currently pregnant with the second baby and i have no idea if i would be as lucky i was with the first .

Well I was never a slim person. I weighed 246 lbs at time of conception, the day i had my daughter I weighed 264 lbs. I only gained 18 lbs, mostly because we didnt have the money to fulfill my cravings, and I started eating healthier when I found out I was pregnant. My daughter is 8 weeks old now, and 90 % of her meals are breastfed. I have lost 32 lbs since 8/28/08. I think it is because I am breastfeeding her, she takes my fat calories, I loose weight. Good Luck you can do it

I never really had weight issues from being pregnant, as I am small to begin with. I however have been gaining like mad with this pregnancy, and plan on exercising after the baby is born. I am mostly worried about my behind, I am showing some saddlebaggage, LoL. I am planning on getting the beach body workout kit, since I don't work, and housework just doesn't seem to be helping. My sister used it, and loved it.

I'm 20 and put on 42 pounds during pregnancy. I went up to 12stone. I had my daughter nearly 5 weeks ago and the last time I weighed myself (which was a couple of weeks ago) I was 9 and a half stone meaning I was only half a stone off being the weight I was before.

I think everyone is different, and it also depends on how many children you've had...I've heard its harder to shift the weight the more you have.

Also depends what weight you were before getting pregnant.

Oh wow that's all you gained

my mother doubled her wait when she was pregnant with me

120 before she got pregnant 235 the day she gave birth to me. She's been 120 as long as I remember so if she can loose all that 48lbs should be no problem

With my first baby, I gained 17 lbs. It came off immediately as I nursed the baby. With the second, I gained 30 lbs. It took longer to come off even though I nursed the baby. I had to start jogging and eat healthier. It came off in about 6 months.

I gained 50 lbs. with my daughter. She is 14 weeks now and I have lost 32 lbs. I have been drinking lots of water, doing yoga and walking. I am frustrated though, because with my first daughter I gained 20 lbs and lost 40 lbs.
