There is a difference between not approving of something and being totally intolerant of the people who have those ideas.

Yes, sometimes Christians get the short end of the the deal when it comes to what is tolerated, but not always. Since Christians out number most other religious groups, we have a lot of rights, as do White Americans, straight people, etc. and also males.

I pray you can learn a little love and tolerance of others. Jesus loves all of us regardless of our politics, etc. and also sinners. We would be better off to try and be the same way.

Of the group you mentioned... "homosexuals, atheists, communists, terrorists, anarchists, feminists, nihilists " the only ones who are criminals and law breakers are the terrorists. You many not agree with the practices or opinions of the others, but they have broken no laws and have every right to their viewpoints as you do.

Fortunately for Americans, "God's holy law" does not rule; our Constitution does. Perhaps you'd rather live in an oppressive theocracy in which people are forced to adhere to barbaric rules that were written by primitive, ignorant religious zealots thousands of years ago. In that case, I'd suggest you check out Iran, Saudi Arabia, or maybe Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. The free world will not miss you.

As for the so-called "breakdown of society," law and order continues to be strong; people are free to exercise freedom of religion, speech, and the press; and America continues to be a land of freedom and opportunity.

Just because a person is homosexual (just happens to like the same sex), athiest (can't fit into a religion/can't accept a god there is no proof of) , feminist (for equality of the sexes - really you're against them?), or ignorant enough to believe that anarchy or communism works doesn't mean they aren't good people.

Just because you're christian doesn't mean you're good or decent, some are but not all. Religion is man made, deal with it. Are you so ignorant that you claim the alpowerful, infinite, perfect God is only to be channeled through the christian religion?

God is more, he cannot be confined to just one ideal, he is here for all of us - but you're too closeminded to realize that.

You don't know what God thinks or believes, you can't possibly say what he is thinking in way of who is going where. Not to mention its against your religion to decide where people are going - thats up to God.

The bible too was written by men, and men make mistakes - not to mention how old the bible is and we still have issues understanding shakespear - theres a possibility that the bible is misinterpreted too.

Apparently the only group people are not encouraged to tolerate is Christians. Many of the groups you mentioned equivocate when using the word "tolerance." Christians tolerate the existence of other religions and philosophies. We do not, however, accept them as true and/or good. I'd like to see some of these people go over to some place like Saudi Arabia and proselytize.

Saying something is wrong or bad is intolerant. In that case Christians are intolerant. But the kind of tolerance that doesn't condemn others is bound to fall apart some time. The Jews kept getting in trouble in the time of Judges when "everyone did what is right in his own eyes."

Your rights are not in any way diminished by the existence of homosexuals, atheists, communists, feminists or nihilists. A responsible citizen would tolerate any personal views, lifestyles or behaviors which do not violate the law.

There are good and decent people in all walks of life. We do not have to accept homosexuality as being ok but neither do we have the right to hate or judge whether that person will go to Heaven or not. Its not too late until God decides its too late.

I've heard in california the public schools are close to banning the word mother and father to avoid discriminating against children adopted by homosexual couples. The silent majority is being pushed too far, one day it is all going to backfire.

because the same freedom that protects YOU, protects them. if you allow it to be infringed on them, then next you know it will be you that is infringed upon.

the "good and decent populace" includes homosexuals, atheists, communists, ect. in fact those who want to NOT tolerate other people are more likely to NOT be part of the "good and decent populace".
