The Ending Has Just Begun
By: Me, of course
Gone are the days of happiness,
Gone are the days of fun,
Gone are the days of joyfulness,
Now those days are done
Gone are the days of love and romance,
Gone are the days of faith and hope,
Gone are the days of willingness to dance,
All washed away with soap
Here are the days of the moon,
Here are the days of no sun,
Darkness will fall over everything soon,
The ending has just begun
as i look to my shattered heart,
lying in a mixture of blood and tears,
I wonder to myself,
Wasn't this one of my greatest fears?
To have my heart pushed aside,
as if of no value? as if of no worth?
But there is more to come,
And the rest is much worse
My already fallen heart,
has fallen with another,
But instead of clearing up my heart is stained with dirt,
A mark that lasts forever
It used to be about love,
hope,
happiness,
But no more
The last tear has dropped,
trying to erase the saddness
but in vain
I now understand this,
what people call love,
isn't that great,
for it always leads,
to a cut up and broken heart
I still can never look
around and tell myself,
I will not love
for love goes through everybody
And maybe it never goes out
hope you all like it!! please comment and tell the truth. just dont be like "HAHAHA! THIS IS SOOOOOOO DUMB!!!" cuz thats just mean.
ehehem who said i was a teenager?

I am in a similar boat
Swept away at sea
I washed the dirt from my life
And now sail away with the sun
Its sound all very romantic
but its taken its toll now, hon.
Love your poem. It does get easier with time.

Yes I like it! You've put a lot of work into it and it's obviously heart-felt. It's a classical theme too.
It reminds me a bit of Vitae Summa Brevis, by Ernest Dowson. It goes:
They are not long, The weeping and the laughter,
love and desire and hate
I think they have no portion in us after
we pass the gate.
They are not long, the days of wine and roses:
out of a misty dream
Our path emerges for a while then closes,
within a dream.
Or if you feel brave, try reading The Phoenix and the Turtle, by Shakespeare. Keep up the good work!

I bloody f*cking Love it. A rhyme after my own heart. If I may, not to overshadow your work offer up one of my own along the same lines?
I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed yours. Please keep writing, the world needs poets!
Be well all!
Romeos' and Jullietts'
He woke up that morning and she had nothing more to say,
Took his heart and soul over which she'd stolen control, put'em in a paper bag and threw'em both away,
After this Grandest of Thefts he watched as she packed and left, was fully aware she'd never care that she'd put a twist in his Love Story,
Had his all under her spell chucked it in the Wishing Well, whispered in his ear "have no fear" behold human Lust in all it's trashy glory,
Never again he told his friends over stale cigarettes and cheap wine, would he allow himself to feel, never again reveal his hopes and dreams 'till the end of time,
Now he'll go find a Lover that a C-note can cover, money buys the blinded eyed, little white lie, no hassle good-bye Love to which his heart is now consigned
Before you go gambling away your dignity ask yourself "what does this person mean to me" and you lay your emotions on your sleeve and walk on Loves mean streets,
Best to ignore the ramblings of Romeo's and Juliet's, for on Love they all place losing bets, making mistakes many Lovers are destine to repeat, remember, Romeo and Juliet's Love ended in suicide and defeat.

i love it, great job. only part i would change would be the the line about the heart, kind of long and doesn't fit. if i where you i would just take out the "But instead of clearing up" and it would flow much better. keep writing and don't let anybody stop you, good luck. best wishes.

Paints a bleak picture, but gets its point across well. Teenagers show such extreme emotions...
