Sport or pseudo-sport? Please tell me.?
What constitutes a sport? I use the term pseudo-sport to try to differentiate the difference between a "sport" and something that is given the moniker but does not deserve it. For example, which of the following is a sport. Golf, bowling, badminton, horseshoes. Do you understand the question? Basically, since we know that the big 5 sports are: football, baseball, basketball, hockey, and soccer, do the rest count as sports? Do you think that chess or horseshoes is next as an olympic event? What constitutes a sport? Please explain. Peace.

I think that i understand your question. I think that whether or not a sport is a sport depends more or less on the competitiveness than the action involved. I would consider chess a sport if the competitors took it serious enough, but personally I don't play chess or any sports.

A "sport" should not be able to regularly end in a tie and participants should be required to take drug tests. I don't remember the last good steroid scandal in bowling.
