A question of ethics or morals.?

For some strange reason you find yourself faced with a dilemma. You have to make an instantaneous decision that has a human life at risk. You can save a persons life but you realize that this person is scheduled to be executed by the state in 7-14 days for crimes that are unthinkable. He kidnapped, tortured, raped, and killed little children. When asked by the media if he was sorry he said "Yea, I'm sorry'. I'm sorry that I didn't kill more of the little bastards." Do you save someone like that or just let him die. he is a human being after all, and life is sacred. If you answer this please tell me if your Religious belief had anything to do with your decision, and if so what religion are you? Please just don't tell me something stupid like "That would not or can not ever happen to me" Serious answers only and please explain yourself in detail. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Peace.

Let 'em die. I am a christian, but I have to say that I'm not really using that to make up my mind. I do believe life is sacred, but all life does end, and he cost sacred life in his crimes. Whatever the cost to save such a criminal, there is no way that it can have anything but lesser benefits. We are humans and we live under human conditions, which by nature are imperfect. Under imperfect conditions I must assume that we must make imperfect choices. Our only ally when Morality/Religion/ethics do not provide a clear answer is Unbiased Logic.

I can save a persons life, or just this one's? If I got to chose, I'd prefer to save others first, but if he's the only option, I would spare his life (though not restore his liberty). The State has no right, IMO, to kill its citizens.

honestly, i would leave him/her to die, even though i am christian.

i believe in forgiveness, and i also believe in justice. however, justice is belongs to God, not mankind.

i wouldn't allow that person to be executed, but i would make sure he/she is kept in some place where they can't harm anyone anymore (i.e. jail).
