First a handfasting this afternoon.

Then pass out candy to the beggars, monsters and ballerinas.

Then some quality time with a few friends. There will be some wine.

I am going to a kiddie costum parade in the late afternoon, eating out with my wonderful Daughter-in-laws for dinner, then off to two clubs with them to check out some adult costum parties until about 11 pm and then home to have a ritual for the ones who have past beyond the veil this last year plus some tarot readings and spells to cast for the year until dawn or so. Get some sleep tomorrow and then clean up all the decorations and clean my house well. Sunday I am planning our family's Thanksgiving dinner's menu and making out a list of who has to bring what to it and mailing them out next week. I am feeding probably 45 to 55 people this year and while I do most of the cooking.. I do get some other good cooks in the family to do a few things too. What are you doing for the weekend?

I was GOING to carve a pumpkin, but my front door isn't really mine because I live in an apartment, and I live downtown, so i was worried about drunken people smashing it. I could just keep it inside, but I don't have appropriate carving tools either, and I can't afford to buy them. So my pumpkin remains unscathed, and will probably just be carted off to my parent's compost as soon as it gets mooshy and stinky.

I'm also embarrassingly bad at carving pumpkins. Embarrassing, because I am an artist and an art student, and it really sucks to be bad at something artistic when you pursue a career like art, lol.

Tomorrow I'm attending a ritual and dinner. It was going to be a dumb supper, but plans had to change.

Since I'm currently on a timeout with religion in general, I'll be brewing some spiced cider and getting sick on cheap candy while I watch the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Good times.

Yes indeed. Just a ritual to honor dead loved ones and my patron deity. Nothing too fancy.
