The iPhone will roam on a non-3G GSM network and in that environment you will lose 3G capability but you'll still be able to use the phone as a telephone and the features of the phone that do not require internet. Internet/email features will not work at all and you should disable them from attempting to work to save battery life. There are a surprising amount of wifi hotspots in iRaq though. You can use those and they'll be faster than 3G anyway.

So yes it will work in parts of iRaq.

It is seriously unlikely unless you get it hacked to work with the Iraqna network. I wouldn't recommend it since a lot of units have a no cell phone policy while in theater and some bases have cell phone jammers up to prevent TCNs and LNs working on base from making calls while there.

most likely not....it will need to be on a 3g network.

If it does work.......then you will not get full use until you come home.

Thank you for protecting American freedom.
