    1.3x-12+x=-2 dist 3 and add the x's together

    2.4x=10 add 12 to both sides and divd. by 4

    3.x=5/2 so 6(5/2)=15

    3(x - 4) + x = -2

    => 3x - 12 + x = -2

    => 4x = 10

    => x = 5/2

    Multiply the equation by 6

    => 6x = 15

    First pf all solve the equation

    3(x -4) +x = -2

    3x -12 +x =-2

    4x -12 = -2

    4x = 10

    x = 5/2
