I was just watching Scarface and got to thinking... what do they use as drug substitutes in movies? ?

IMDB said that powdered milk was supposed to be used as a stand-in for real cocaine but apparently it was not. So what can be substituted? And how much does that really blow (pun slightly intentional) to snort something like powdered milk or cornstarch?

    i always thought flour, sugar, or baking soda was the substitution for drugs of such. i really don't know but it seems to look like it.
