EBAY/PAYPAL... was this uncalled for?

So I sold my FIRST(and last) item on ebay, sadly I wont do it again. This experience with being a seller for the first time left a bad taste in my mouth, because of the trouble I have w/ my paypal account(go ahead, please look and see my other questions...) They say DO NOT SHIP UNTIL PAYMENT HAS CLEARED and it has been pending for the past week. I called paypal b/c I'm pretty sure that the buyer is now gonna give me a neg feedback... but I constantly COMMUNICATED with her,(sent her 3 emails to update her) to let her know what the hold up was and what was going on, I had to call paypal and THEY even say that they were having difficulties and they should have it fixed. I wasn't going to send the boots UNTIL it cleared, which on ebay, that's EXACTLY what they tell you to do.... DO NOT SEND UNTIL So this is her not so friendly email I got back from her...

Hi, there--I have an email from Paypal declaring the money in

your account and the 'transaction complete'. therefore, I think

you should send me the boots! Call your bank and see if the

money is in your account! Whatever problems you may have

accessing the dollars is between you and Paypal, so please do

not punish me for it. Send the boots!

Sincerely, ~BUYER~

Wtf? I explained everything that they told me! Idk, this just seemed a little B*tchy to me, so it made me mad. I'm no longer going to try to sell. It wasn't even my fault! So I've learned. What do you think should do? Obviously I'm sending the boots first thing the stupid post office opens........

I can see both sides of the situation as I used to sell on ebay...now sell on 2 other sites....I would have had pay pal send her a message explaining the problem was with them..since she got an email from them saying money was in your account I can understand her being a bit upset...Consider it a learning lesson...remember she did not know you or how truthful you were as you did not know her and if she was being truthful.

I recently lost £10 on ebay in a similar mix up.

I send money for a book, then the seller wrote `do you want this book or not?` so I said, `I sent you the money over a week ago!`

Anyway, the money seems to have gone into one of her old paypal accounts - she says she cannot access it and paypal says the deal is completed.

About 10 mails have flitted back and forth between me and the seller until I just got fed up with it, and cut my losses. Thank God it was only £10.
