Why or why not?

Nobody is obligated to do anything, but the bond between a mother and a child is so strong, especially at birth and throughout the child's life, that any mom would give her life for her child. If i ever had kids i know that I would.

we are all made different. for those who say your no kind of mother if you don't they are very narrow minded and are judging others. we could be how we were taught, we may of hated the clingy-ness of a mother. we may of loved how they were. what about circumstances, health and other influences like the father?
there are certain oblibgations but it is much better to try and find it through the love in your heart.
some mothers believe if you dont punish your children you dont love them.
to give your life for another is the greatest love you can show. this is what the bible says and what Jesus did and others to follow. but you will see a lot more that didn't. but it doesn't say they are wrong.
i personally believe, as a mother, that we were given children as a gift to borrow, we are to do the best we can for them. but at the end of the day they are their own person as we are. and if we are unhappy then then they will be unhappy.
this society now has become children idoliters. thats why a lot of children now have no respect for others because it is all about them and how important they are above everyone else. my child doesn't do anything wrong, people may think they are giving their lives for their children but what really are they teaching them?
