Since the baby is the property of a person abortion should be legal?

I guess it comes down to what you think the government should have to power to do. I don't think it's right for them to either force a woman to give birth or deny her that right.

Yes, a woman should be able to do whatever she wants with her body, but that baby is not another part of her. It is connected to her, yes, but it is not the same person. How can the same person have two separate genetic codes? Abortion is murder. It is the murder of innocent human beings. If I was told my baby had defects and/or I was going to die, I still would never get an abortion.

Pretty much, my point is that if you don't consider an unborn baby, a human being, there's seriously something wrong with you. Abortion is the legal way to kill a person. A fetus is a human, with limbs, fingerprints, a heart beat, a brain, brain waves (they feel pain), they have eyes, a nose, a mouth, etc, and can physically be classified as a human being. We're not allowed to go around killing other humans, so why are we allowed to kill them while in utero?

Speaking for myself, I would never have an abortion because I believe life begins at conception. Intentionally stopping the natural progression of a zygote developing into a fully identifiable person, is murder, because you are ending a life. It's known that an unborn baby has it's own identity at conception. The baby receives chromosomes from the mother and father, but is still it's own little life and not the "property" of the mother or father! The baby is part of it's mother during pregnancy, but they're two different people; so when you say a woman has the right to do whatever she wants to her body, you actually mean, whatever she wants to her unborn baby and that's why abortion should be illegal. Abortion is disgusting, gruesome, and barabaric. A female should simply not have sex and if decides she wants engage in sex, then she should get on birth control and stop using abortion as a form of birth control!

People say we go to far by believing that abortion is murder; how can it not be murder if you're actually ending a human life for no reason but selfishness?!?!? If a woman isn't ready to raise a child, she should then give it up for adoption...why is that such a hard decision to make?!?!? I'm sure it's a harder decision to choose to terminate a pregnancy!!!

To Elvendra, the woman IS NOT doing what she wants to her body, SHE'S DOING WHAT SHE WANTS TO AN UNBORN BABY!!!!!!!!!!!! Why is that hard to freakn understand?!?!?

I wish people would quit justifying abortion by saying a woman has a right to choose what she wants to with her body...that makes no sense...that's like saying "insane" people should be left alone to commit suicide because they have a right to choose what they want to do with their body; doesn't that sound stupid!?!? Just like we have help out there for those people who are suicidal, we also have adoption agencies, to help these women who don't want to and aren't ready to raise a child, they are able to give that child a chance at life....it's quite easy to get on birth control, but emotionally undescribable to face the decision of abortion!

In my opinion, abortion should be legal. It is not that endorse abortion, no, not by any means, i don't want people to get an abortion. But if the woman, in some way thinks that without the baby, life would be better or if the baby is sick or endangering the mother then by any means the woman should be allowed to make that decision for herself. If abortion is legalized everybody leaves happy. Those who are against it, don't have to do it, and those who need one, can get one. It should be up to the person, not controlled by law.

Abortion is Legal- and will stay that way.. the only people that can reverse Roe vs Wade, no matter what anyone says is the Supreme Court not the President.. and no one on the Supreme Court will overturn it- there is to much at stake..

i believe that it should be completely legal

it is not the fathers body that has to carry the baby. so if he wants a child he can go find another woman that wants a child.

AND this whole thing should not be regulated by law. it is completely based on religous views. what ever happened to secularism? i'm jewish and i do not share any of the views that christians have on this topic. why should i follow someone else's beliefs? if you dont want it, dont do it. if it becomes illegal, women will still find a way around the law and we will go back to clothes hanger times and that is not needed.

3. the mother should be able to do what she wants, and apparently she did, by having sex. after that, no she does not have the right to kill an unborn baby.

4. if a mother killed her newborn she would go to jail, but you think she should have the right to kill a developing newborn and not go to jail???

5. if a pregnant woman is murdered, the murderer gets hit with TWO sentences, one for the mother and one for the baby. because a baby is a living thing, in the womb or out of the womb.
