Attractions in San Diego and Anaheim, California?
My family is deciding whether we should go to San Diego or Anaheim, California for vacation. I was wondering what are some good attractions/tourist locations in the 2 cities. we already know that disney land is in Anaheim and that sea world is in san diego. What else is there in the two cities? Where would you recommend for a family vacation when the youngest child in the family is 15 years old?

Attractions close to/around:
San Diego: San Diego Wild Animal Park, Balboa Park, LegoLand-yes, cool for all ages, beautiful beaches like La Jolla, Del Mar, etc...
Anaheim: Knott's Berry Farm, Disney's California Adventure, birthplace of "hella good" No Doubt, beautiful beaches like Newport, Venice, etc...

Ok Anaheim is not 2hrs from San Diego only about an hr. Both cities offer beaches and yes they both have amusement park attractions, you should check into getting a package deal that will include both Sea World and Disneyland or Knotts Berry farm. Now you said the youngest person is 15 ok that's cool but for the adults San Diego offers a great night life scene there is the Gaslamp District in San Diego lots of good food and dancing if you are into that, San Diego also offers some of the greatest jazz spots, also there is Horton Plaza if you have the urge to shop. Anaheim also has Medieval Times, Ripley's Believe it or not museum both cities have a lot to offer so just take your time and check them both out have fun

How about Disneyland? San Diego Zoo? Marine World? Lego World? Knott's Berry Farm?

S.D. is a major city, and Anaheim isn't. Yes, Disneyland is located in Anaheim, but after that there is not much to do. You are better off comparing Los Angeles and San Diego.

hmmm well in San Diego, you can find the University of San Diego. you can bring your family over there to check out the campus it doesn't hurt to see how it is and how it feels like for your 15 year old. and then while you are in San Diego then you can go to sea world :]

You could do both - spend a little time in SD and a little time in Anaheim... SD is only about a 2 hr drive from Anaheim.
