McCain and Obama taxes.?

I recently asked a question on whether I would be taxed less or more on Obama's and McCain's plan. I would be taxed less on McCain because I make 375k a year. Obama's views are preposterous. Because I got a good education and worked for 30 years to get to the position im in now, he wants to tax me for it. I mean, I'm already in the highest tax bracket. The government takes away half of my income. That's ridiculous. If Obama is going to tax me more, that's over half my income. No matter how much money you make, even the lower class would feel ripped off. How is it that some people who don't care and don't strive for a good job get to take my money, indirectly, from well-fare? Some people who don't even know me view me as a rich elitist and I have a duty to society to give up my money to the "less fortunate." Although I do donate to charity's for people with bad luck, rather than being lazy, it's not like I got this money when someone just walked up to me and handed it up. I went through 9 years of specialty doctorate school in order to work my way up. In the mean time, I'm a medical doctor so I help people in the process. Do you see what I am saying? My taxes right now take the same and sometimes even more of a percentage out of my bank account, just because I'm successful. I believe everyone should have the same equal tax bracket and contribute the same percentage of money to government. Do you Obama supporters see what I am saying? I am the same as you. I'm struggling to put my kids through college. Why you may ask? Because I make "too much" money, my children can't get student loans. It's even hard for me because of the money the government takes from my property, income, and social security. I'm all for the social security, but I fail to see why I should have to pay more than everyone else. Why do you think so?

Update:

"I believe everyone should have the same equal tax bracket and contribute the same percentage of money to government."...

When I say that, I mean the same percentage, hence the bracket. Why should I pay 50% because I worked hard, and a poorer person pay 10% and sometimes none? We should all pay the same percent.

I do see what you're saying and I think many middle age Americans are in the same spot. We've worked hard since we where young to establish ourselves and now there is this mentality, that we are selfish because we don't feel we should have to support the whole country. Frankly I think there are a large number of young people on here who don't understand it. They think they should have what we have even though we have worked years to get there. They have a lot of advantages over many of us because in our age group not lots of people went to college, many where drafted right out of high school. The rest wnt to work in the trades or industry. As you say it's hard to send our kids to college because they get no aid from anywhere. It seems that many just don't get that nothing was given to us!

Skippy says men and women dont fairly realise how govt works. The President fairly doesnt create tax plans, congress does. So regardless of who wins the Presidency, the one tax plan with a purpose to make it to the Presidents table is the Pelosi / Reid tax plan. We all recognise that each Pelosi and Reid desire colossal tax raises on every body. So the query all of us will have to be asking is "Who do you believe to Veto the Pelosi / Reid tax plan....Obama or McCain. Personally Skippy is aware of that Obama will signal any invoice Pelosi and Reid sends to him. Although Skippy doesnt like McCain that so much....Hes now not a Conservative. I believe him to Veto any some distance left invoice Pelosi creates.

I earn close to your salary as well, yet I realise that my large income is either directly or indirectly thanks to the working class, who get miniscule wages for what is essentially still hard work (qualifications are all well and good, but it doesn't change the fact that a person collecting garbage from 4 in the morning till 2 in the afternoon is still working damn hard for 8 dollars an hour.

And without those people, you and I wouldn't be rich. Sad truth. But still the truth.

Sounds like you need the tax relief Obama promises for the middle class. You children should benefit from the same grants and federal loans offered to the rest of the college attendees. It sounds completely unfair.

Thank you for your years of hard work and appreciate your struggles in funding the education for your children.

My husband and I are in the same boat. We manage our money just fine for those of you who think that matters. We have the right to blow our money just as much as people who make less. Obama supporters are okay with his plan because it passes the buck. It won't affect them so why not!

I think you need to man-up and stop your whining.

..."I believe everyone should have the same equal tax bracket and contribute the same percentage of money to government."...

Clueless. you claim to make 375K a year and you think you should pay the same as someone that just got out of high school and earns 20K a year as they go to college?

,,,"I'm struggling to put my kids through college."...

I call BS. you claim to earn 375K a year yet you cannot budget your money?

    Pathetic.

It's only logical that you want to keep what you earn. Since liberals have no logical thinking abilities it's hard for them to understand.
