How can I keep myself from religious preaches?

So basically you're an agnostic. Well your halfway there, at least you know how to think for yourself and ask questions.

You have to just tell them basically what you've said here and say you want to discuss it no further. It sounds simple I know but that's all you can do. I'm atheist (was agnostic) and had to do the same thing all the time. I actually used to enjoy them preaching to me then challenging them. If you know how to its quite easy to make them look stupid, they'll never admit there wrong but you can see on their face when you hit something that they have no comeback for, I found they never bothered me after that.

What you said though is a very good point and I found the most successful. I'd say "well if you grew up in Iran you would be preaching bout Allah to me but know your here and preaching something totally different. Are you right purely because of your geographical area?"

Anyhoo In a nutshell I just annoy them so they don't try again, its fun and works.

Christian think they are doing Gods will , when they blatantly get in you face and preach . The best preaching , is not preaching but a life live in a way that reflects God . It's like a Klingon on star track , they live by honor , and even die for that honor . They back up their beliefs at all cost . But they don't go around preaching honor , they just live it . To preach their religion is far easier that to live it .

I know for a fact Jesus exist , I have seen Him in a vision , I also know that he is the only way to heaven .

But knowing that alone does not make me good , Satan even knows that .

Real transformation of the christian life , is like the Caterpillar going into a cocoon , the person has to die to become a butterfly .

Most Christian are not willing to die to self , and then be transformed into the image of Christ .

Christ would not walk up to you and start preaching to you . Christ would know you inside and out . He would know your very thoughts , and most likely , He would come to you to help you in some way , like when He first came to Peter , Peter was in a boat and Had fished all day , and had caught nothing , and to prove to Peter that what He spoke was truth , He said to Peter cast your net for a catch , and Peter thinking Jesus was nuts , said master I have fished all day and have caught nothing , but at your request I will do it .

And when Peter cast His net , His net could not contain all the fishes He caught , so then after that , Peter was willing to hear what ever He said , because He knew for a fact it was true .

That is a real Christian , maybe someday you will meet one .

flying spaghetti guy is right...Christians DON'T know that God exists. We have FAITH that He does because of the evidence we've been given. I myself have felt God's presence and I can't do anything but tell others about it. God told me to tell others of Him.

However, If you don't want to hear it, tell whoever is doing the telling that you'd rather not. If you do have any questions (at all) which are critical and you need answering, let someone know. Or email me, i'd be happy to talk about it.

I dont know how to be any more straight with you. But they are right. Hell is real. God is alive and He is coming soon!

I know he is. I have seen him working in my heart and life. He has answered amazing prayers. His is my strength, my comfort, my peace, my everything. ....I will never question his existance after experiencing him! ....The word of God promises that you will find Him when you SEEK HIM WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART. enjoy the journey, hes waiting for you to come to him!! :)

i understand what you mean. i too have people coming around trying to preach the Good news to me and telling me that i need to be saved. i am a catholic btw.

if you are not interested in any religion, just tell them so. no one can force you to believe in anything. most importantly show them that without a religion you are leading a good life. Good luck to you.

Ask them questions that uses critical thinking. They will surely go away then.

By the way, nobody KNOWS if god exists, you can only believe.

If you know for a FACT (lol) that god exists then you need to see a psychiatrist.

I'm the type of person that, if you approach me with something like this and basically cram it down my throat unasked for, I will intentionaly provoke you. I may completely AGREE with you, but if you try and shove something on me, I will try my best to frustrate, anger, confuse, or annoy you and I'm pretty good at it.

Get the hell out of there. It's that simple. Or you can feign a fit, or you can feign a stroke. Or you can point at them and shout out in horror "That's him! That's the killer!"

Simple...ask them

"Jesus is son of God almighty ...right?? and God almighty at the same time...right?"

So Jesus is his own father...then they say ..No, no ..He is not his own father....but still repeat the above statement....

and then...."accept Jesus or you will go to hell".....to be torture..not by Satan cause he is free in earth...but by Jesus Christ....and they run away....singing.....
