The final Gallup poll has Obama up by 11, what do you think?
The gap has been widening over the past few days, but it looks like the final surge is going in favor of Obama.
Why do you think this is?
(please think before you respond, if you just want to flame hate speak, please go somewhere else.)

I think the people have spoken and want change. Good news for Obama! I am keeping my fingers cross, hope and pray he will be out next president. It seem there are a lot of first time voters. The polls don't matter now but the electoral vote and Obama is ahead. =]

To clear up what the misinformed person posted, Kerry was actually TRAILING George Bush in the final Gallup poll in 2004, by 2 points, NOT ahead by 8. So when Kerry lost, it was exactly as Gallup had predicted.
We're on the internet, you don't have to trust peoples words, just look it up, which I did, and here is the official link that proves it:

I KNOW that polls are purely speculation. Its possible for the majority to vote McCain and push him to victory tomorrow. I doubt it, but its definitely possible. I think too many people are getting excited too soon. Polls always had Kerry on top, and he didn't win, now did he?
As for the person who said "A democrat in office will do us some good". You pretty much have that already, seeing as the Congress and Senate are primarily Democrat, and if they don't like something the president wants to do, they can make sure it doesn't happen.

all polls are severely flawed and i do mean all they know by area code where they are calling and are aware of how each area historically votes. Not to mention the Media has been les than unbiased in the reporting of the actually number and have switched polls from Gallop to Zogby to AP at will to get the gap they chose for the day . I say lets all just vote and see how it turns out

I would be surprised to hear any other result from Gallup..I don't like Gallup poll..but I think they are jaded..but if Obama wins then we must face hard times no matter what..McCain or Obama ..this whole world is going into Depression..and Europe is just as bad or worse then the US..and UK? same old story...but at least the Queen can hock her jewels and bail them out

We (dem's in Florida) were told that we have got to vote because the polls were "horse dung". They said that the polls had Kerry so far ahead it kept folks from voting.
DON'T LISTEN TO THE POLLS- Its a dead heat to the finish and you must vote.

The Gallop Poll was the one who wrongly predicted that Dewey won also...so they are capable of making big mistakes
