    The four nitrogenous bases: adenine, guanine, cytosine, and thymine; deoxyribose rings, and phosphates.

    1) The phosphate group

    2) The pentose sugar (deoxyribose on DNA)

    And the nitrogenous base (there are 4 types of these)

    3) Guanine

    4) Adenine

    5) Thymine

    6) Cytosine

    DNA - deoxyribonucleic acid

    1) Ribose (pentose 5-C) sugar

    2) Phosphate

    (They make up the backbone)

    3) Nitrogenous base

    a) A - adenine

    b) T - thymine

    c) C - cytosine

    d) G - guanine
