Filling out the ballot....?

Do I have to fill out the entire thing for my vote to count? Some of the areas I don't know much about and would prefer not to just pick anyone. Will my vote for president and governor and such still be counted if I don't vote in other areas?

You do not have to cast a vote for every area on the ballot. Your vote will count. I see another person has answered opposite me, so to be sure, you should contact the local election authority. Often, this is the county clerk. If you google it you can find it.

Another common question, "Do I have to fill out the ovals in every race on the ballot?" Voters are encouraged, but not required, to vote for every issue on the ballot.

Yes you must fill out the entire thing.
