  • Who do cocktail waitresses tip out?

I just started cocktail waitressing at a casino a few months ago. During training, I was told that the only person we should tip out is our bartenders. I've started to notice table dealers and some of the cocktail waitresses tipping out the people in the cash cage when we cash in our tips. I asked a few different girls if this is customary and some ay they tip out the bartender, the cash cage and the housekeeping staff who clean non-glassware out of our sections. Other girls say they only tip the bartenders.

What is customary???? Who are we supposed to tip and how much??

I feel like a cheap stiff finding out that I'm supposed to be tipping out all of these other people, and haven't been... but also a little surprised and am wondering how anyone makes any money when your tipping out so many different people?

    Some guidance would be appreciated!

  • Famous or inspiring quote? (5-10 sentences)?

I need to do a project for school that involves an interesting quote that is 5-10 sentences long. Can be more than 10, but would prefer it not to be. Can definitely not be less than 5.

I would like it to be funny, inspiring, heartwarming or famous.

Maybe something from a movie, a book, or lyrics from a song.

    Any suggestions, please?

  • Obtaining Canadian citizenship (through marriage)?

I am a US citizen living in the US and am engaged to a Canadian citizen living in Canada. I am planning on becoming a Canadian citizen, but am really overwhelmed with figuring out the best way to do it. I plan on living in the US until I can become a citizen, but I will be needing to cross through the border often (I live in a town in WA that is US land, but it is only adjacent to Canada, so I have to cross through Canada to get to school on the "mainland").

What is the fastest and least expensive way for me to become a Canadian citizen while still being able to cross through Canada?

Here is an explanatory picture of where I live so you know what I mean when I say I have to cross through Canada:

  • How to watch movies from my computer on my non-HDMI TV?

I have a Dell Studio laptop which comes equipped with an HDMI port, eSATA port, VGA port, USB port, and DisplayPort. My TV is not equipped with an HDMI port or any of these other ones. I think I need to buy an RCA cable that hooks up to one of these ports on the other end, but I don't know which to use for it to work. I do not have an HD TV (it's a Sony FD Trinitron WEGA). What will work for me?

  • Industrial Strength Floor Stripper?

I am an amateur to the cleaning business and have been hired to strip and reseal some laminate floors. The person that sealed it last seems to have used some sort of rubber sealant, and I am having an incredibly hard time getting it off. I don't have a professional floor scrubber, so have just been using a mop, a scrub brush, and a wet/dry vaccuum. I have been using Zep Heavy Duty Floor Stripper.

Are there any stronger floor strippers out there that I can use? Any suggestions or tips??

  • Can you calculate my grade?

I am halfway through my course and so far the total points I can get is 500. I have 475.

    If 500 points = an A+ and 300 points = a D-, what does 475 points equal?

And if there are 1000 points total in a course (100 per week over 10 weeks), can you tell how many points I will have to have to keep it in the A range or at least a B?

This is the grading scale my instructor is using:

    A+ 4.0-97-100%

    A 4.0 - 94-96%

    A- 3.7-91-93%

    B+ 3.3-88-90%

    B 3.0-84-87%

    B- 2.7-81-83%

    C+ 2.3-78-80%

    C 2.0-74-77%

    C- 1.7-71-73%

    D+ 1.3-68-70%

    D 1.0-64-67%

    D- 0.7-60-63%

    F-0.0-under 60%

Obviously, this is not a math course I am taking :o)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

  • Canadian Border Crossing colored slip meaning?

I was crossin the border from the US into Canada (I am a US citizen) and was handed a white slip with an "A" written on it the Customs agent and told to go inside. They then searched my car for a good 30 mins. I have been pulled in an searched quite a few times before, but have always been given a yellow slip in the past. Does anyone know the meaning of the colors of the slips and what the A might mean?

  • His snoring is OUT OF CONTROL!!?

My boyfriend has an out of control snoring problem. He's had his adenoids removed, and it seems everything under the sun has been tried to ease it, but nothing seems to work. It's gotten to the point where I wear ear plugs every night and sleep with pillows over my head, and I can STILL hear him! It's frustrating and tiresome.

Does anyone know of any inexpensive therapies or ANYTHING that can either make him stop snoring, or keep me from hearing it, aside from earplugs and sleeping on the couch? I'm desperate!

  • Filling out the ballot....?

Do I have to fill out the entire thing for my vote to count? Some of the areas I don't know much about and would prefer not to just pick anyone. Will my vote for president and governor and such still be counted if I don't vote in other areas?
