Why does Sarah Palin get so much criticism for support for Bridge to Nowhere?
I'm not a McCain/Palin supporter, but as far as I can see, it's the job of the governor (and of senators and congressmen) to get money for their own state. I have no problem with Palin asking for money for her state to "build a bridge" and by that, I mean keep people "employed," because it's no different from the millions of dollars of pork that politicians like McCain, Obama and Biden wanted for their states as well.
Is it because she became a hypocrite when she claimed to have been against it? All I know is that if I were living in her state, I'd WANT a politician who wants to give me money, no matter how useless the project is.

Where she went wrong was her blatant hypocrisy in claiming that she was against it. She was trying to run a campaign on lies. it would have been more truthful for her to say, just as YOU have said, "I worked hard to get money for my state!"

Oh really,it wasn't just the citizens of Alaska she got that from. That's our taxpayer money.
Many other useful things could have been done with that money, education, medical, finished paying for the library she helped them get in debt for.The eskimo population of Little Diomede island, who are wanting an inceniration to burn their own poop, they don't have a hospital, they dump their trash into the ocean. She seems not to mention them at all.
Please, I hope you're not running for office.
