Itunes trouble!!! Please help. 10 pts to the one that works?

so i've had trouble with itunes lately. I was removing programs with the control panel "add or remove programs" that i thought were unneeded. The next time I opened up itunes, a message came up that said the audio configuration was messed up. It now doesn't play songs on itunes or even let me listen to the 30 second previews of songs (it stays at 0:00) but they still play on my ipod. I did several things including update to newer itunes and was glad it kept all my songs but then had trouble with quicktime and finally was able to pull itunes back up again. It still says there is something wrong with the audio configuration and idk what to do. Some people say it's best to back up library to external thing like usb or something and then uninstall and reinstall all itunes things. I don't have these external things. Is there also a way to back library up to folder on my computer so i don't have to worry about them disappearing after uninstalling and reinstalling? Is there a way to fix the audio configuration in the 1st place? sorry this is so long but thanks for helping. 10 pts to best answer!!!!

Go to your iTunes folder (You can search it with Vista's/XP's search) and click on the folder, not the actual program. highlight all the files, right-click them and press 'Copy'.

Then save them to another folder somewhere else (Desktop etc).

That's how you backup files that only one program uses on your computer.

    I hope I helped!

uninstall it, re-acquire it and putting up it back. you will no longer lose your music, purely ought to re-import it back. Then purchase a mac, and additionally you will no longer have this concern ever back :-)
