Despite all of the many accomplishments that have been made over the years by the black community if we elect ?

a black president will black people finally have to stop complaining about oppression, and unequal opportunity?

I mean how much greater of an achievement will have to be met in order for this to finally become a non issue?

Well since we are talking about BLACKS, I guess me being African American i can will help answer this question.

    Thanks AJ.

The reason its still an issue because we still have a "BLACK COMMUNITY" I honestly live in a white neighborhood,. But okay i can live in a black neighborhood today. You see ?still categorizing us as black ,white, etc. And not to mention I have an great job, making good money, and still deal with racism, people being prejudice, insensitive etc and I'm mixed!!! So even though we have accomplished so many things, and certain individuals are past racism, not everyone is because so many of us deal with oppression and unequal opportunity on a daily bases. So open your eyes little more.....

A black man becoming president doesn't suddenly make all the oppression and inequality that black people face on a daily basis magically disappear. It'll be a non issue when people no longer have to ask when it'll stop being an issue.

Are you saying that America should elect a Black President in order to make Black People stop complaining ?

I think it's the Democrats that keep beating that drum. They like to remind black people how oppressed they are and keep them down, dependent and turning out to vote them into office because they have fooled them into thinking they will take care of them.

I don't think it will ever be a non issue because some people like playing the victim.

When did Obama last mention blacks or African-Americans?

He's got, or thinks he's got, them, so his more recent focus has been middle-aged white women, many of them former Hillary Clinton supporters.

He wants VOTES, and he'll get them from whomever he can.

His black side has been show. His white side is coming out.

They willl, I have personally seen blacks, even 2 rappers saying that they really have to give "props" to America for moving forward and finally making everyone feel like they have a chance at the American dream that you can be anything when grow up.

Most blacks only have rappers to look up to as role models.

try being enslaved for a couple hundred years, then chased around and hung from trees, then treated like you're second-class citizens, and, now, having some folks talk trash about you because you're a little sore about what's happened over the years.

    see how you feel.
