a cd drive is needed to rip music from cd....what does this mean?
I have played music and ripped cd's on my computer before...now I can't do either....HELP!!!!
let me just add that I know nothing about computers so please be specific about any help you give....thanks!

check and see if you need to re-install your dr5iver software

the obtrusive question is how do you examine a CD without CDpersistent? in case you have a CDpersistent and homestead windows Media isn't recognising it... consistent with possibility your CDpersistent is ineffective or consistent with possibility it is not conected proper. Will homestead windows Explorer examine records CDs interior of thepersistent? If thepersistent isn't working in homestead windows in any respect, get a sparkling CDpersistent. no count if that's working, consistent with possibility that's the incorrect nicely-known for homestead windows media participant to recgnise. try a sparkling CDpersistent (or greater useful yet, get a DVD rewriter as a replace... no longer lots greater beneficial than a CD reader). Or try a distinctive ripper (eg razorlame).
