I am political party illiterate. What are typical republican views and typical democratic views?

I know how I feel about certain issues, but I absolutely have no idea if my views align more with republican views or democratic views. Can anyone help me with this?

republicans are more for lower tax's, less government interference, less American spending.

Democrats are for bigger, more powerful government, with more government interference.

Thats the basics of it, you can also do internet searches of republican vs democrat to see views but most likely you will get a biased opinion.
