Poll: Why is it that SOME people feel the need to ask us how they look?

High expectancy/low motivation is what most classy people like yourself call it

I do not know! I would never do that nor do I answer those questions.And were on here to have a little fun ask a few good questions help each other out,not a friggen beauty contest.And I'll gladly star you,its a good question.Maybe we could get Y/A to start an "Am I pretty" post?Then they could all look at each other all day and compare whatever they compare?

A friend of mine does this everyday ALL day. Whether it's her hair or if I like the her shoes squeak on the floor, I have to validate her. Maybe it's her way of rubbing the fact that she's prettier than some people and her insecurities that just drives me up the wall.

Suffering from low self esteem and in need of others approval. Very sad I would imagine to live this way.

I don't know. I sure as hell wouldn't want people rating me, and strangers looking at my picture. It's embarrassing for the person as well, because it shows they really have no pride. Some people need to buckle their belts tighter and get over themselves.

I guess it is because they don't have much self-esteem... or something... and they feel the need to have it lifted up or something... but many people bash them on here... and they should realize that one to...

exactly! it pisses me off too!! i think its a vanity thing. same with myspace/facebook, why do people put pictures of themselves taking picturees of themselves on the internet, is it to say, "I exist!!!!" its weird. the need to be individual is ridiculous. also there is so much pressure in society escpecially for girls to be not just beautiful but hot and sexy.
