Pantyhose and ties....gone forever?

Pantyhose and ties. You could hardly have picked out two more opposite things. Well, comparing pantyhose and ties or putting them on the same level is a bit like comparing roses to rotten eggs or equalizing those, whereby the rotten egg is of course the tie.

Ties are the most useless and annoying things that have ever seen the light of day. They are uncomfortable, extremely unhealthy since they can constrict the blood flow to the head, add an extra unnecessary weight to the neck and are always in the way. The person who invented these monstrosities should be hung on the gallow with one of them. Plus these things look utterly ridiculous. The health authorities in every single country should just ban them, if only for health reasons.

Pantyhose on the other hand are a complete different thing and are in a different league altogether. Although many women (and men too) don't like them, objectively seen they have at least a function, if not more than one. One reason is to keep warmer maybe.

Having experience with wearing both items, it is totally clear why men stop wearing ties and hate them, but why women don't want to wear pantyhose is a complete mystery to me. Pantyhose, when the right kind and size and provided they are of good quality, are very comfortable in the first place. They improve the looks of any legs and as an extra bonus they feel great. Which makes it a pleasure to wear them. And there are no health risks involved in wearing them. They feel wonderful and create a general sense of well being (as opposed to ties), and that cannot be a bad thing.

I like wearing pantyhose and don't need any other reason to wear them. I think they are one of the best items of clothing ever created and they are very sexy too, in looks and feel, which impossibly can be said of ties.

To answer your question:

Ties: let them be gone forever.

Pantyhose: let's have them forever.

Unfortunately ties will always be there and fortunately pantyhose will always be there too.

Men have stopped wearing ties because they can be uncomfortable at times. but then again I wear one every day at work. but I also tend to wear tights under my work pants instead of socks and underwear. And I do that because they are more comfortable. Pantyhose can be a bit itchy at times (usually if you buy the cheap ones) but a good pair of tights will always be part of my wardrobe...

Women, if you want us to wear more ties, you have to don the hose to return the favor. What would you think if you saw a man wearing a nice suit without socks? once again it's about finishing the look...

same reason why women dont wear pantyhose anymore. I wear pantyhose 24/7, but I dont wear ties.I wear pantyhose with my slacks and wear with shorts on weekends or while at home.

pantyhose are uncomfortable, but ties don't seem like that big of a hassle and they do look better, so i completely agree with you.
