Quick coupler set question?

I have a quick coupler set consisting of a 1/4" NPT Female thread, male thread and a 1/4" NPT Universal adaptor. I've used these things in quick hose changes in the past

I know for a fact that the 1/4" NPT male thread goes on the hose and the Adaptor is in between my impact wrench and the hose

Now my question is: How do I connect the 1/4" NPT Female Stud to my impact tool? The inlet size is 1/2"

    install a reducer bushing on gun.

    used a 1/2 one sorry but you need to go back to store and either get adapter or another end

    just get a adopter.
