  • Nitro Tech Pro question?

Is it ok to take nitro tech only after my workout? I don't feel like taking it on non-work out days since I am consuming ON's Serious Mass in between. Will I still have gains?

  • NitroCore24, Gold standard whey or Serious Mass?

I've always been a fan of Optimum Nutrition products. I started out with ON's Gold standard whey.

I am 135 lbs, skinny, looking to gain 10-15 pounds more. What should I take? NitroCore or Gold whey? A friend told me that Serious mass would be the best protein supplement if I wanted to gain more

  • First time in 20 years: only 1 fire broke out in Manila?

What's your take on this? Firemen are saying that they have implemented a great awareness campaign in the usage of pyrotechnics.

My take is that Filipinos are spending less on fireworks if they have money at all to buy such. People probably are spending more on the essential stuff especially those who are in the poverty line

    What do you think?

  • Using a Black & Decker heat gun to patch up holes in my tires?

I have been using rubber patches to patch holes in the inner tubes of my truck tires. Traditionally, they'd use a heating mechanism to make sure the rubber patch would stick to the inner tube permanently.

I was wondering if using a B&D heat gun would make the job easier? I know that rubber patches like tiptop and tech can be vulcanized to the inner tube using a vulcanizing compound and some heat into it. Would the heat gun be able produce enough heat for vulcanization to happen?

  • Compressor compatibility?

My tokyo shibaura compressor delivers a maximum of 140 psi when the impact tool requires only 90 psi. No problem with that, now my question is: The air outlet of my compressor is only 1/4" when the inlet of the wrench is 1/2"? will i experience a problem in here?

I'm going to use a 1/2" air hose with 3/8" fittings

  • Quick coupler set question?

I have a quick coupler set consisting of a 1/4" NPT Female thread, male thread and a 1/4" NPT Universal adaptor. I've used these things in quick hose changes in the past

I know for a fact that the 1/4" NPT male thread goes on the hose and the Adaptor is in between my impact wrench and the hose

Now my question is: How do I connect the 1/4" NPT Female Stud to my impact tool? The inlet size is 1/2"

    Thanks!

  • Using a 1/2" rubber hose in a compressor with 1/4" air outlet?

Thanks to those who answered my previous threads. This final query would do the trick:

I've decided to go and use 1/2in rubber hoses for my compressor since it delivers 140psi. I understand that these hoses come with 3/8" fittings

My impact tool has an inlet connection size of 1/2" and my compressor's air outlet measures 1/4".

Is it ok to plug in a 1/2" diameter hose to a 1/4" air outlet and what kind of coupler do I need? Will this have an effect on pressure output?

Since the hose fitting is 3/8in (9.5mm), how do I connect it to my impact tool which has an inlet size of 1/2". I am going to use a 1/4" NPT quick-connect coupler (Going to Federal tom morning)

Note: I found in my basement a converter from 3/8 in to 1/4", can I use this on my hose to connect to my compressor?

  • Metric Deep impact socket question?

Just found out that the socket set that I have is metric, is there any chance that this would fit in my impact tool 285B-6?

  • Deep impact sockets won't fit?

I bought an impact wrench IR 285B. I bought an 8 pc deep impact socket set from irtools.ca since they were not available in the store where i bought the wrench.

These ingersoll rand sockets are sparkling new and I'm wondering why they won't fit at all. Is it because they're new?

How do i fix this? They are both genuine IR products

  • Compressor Compatibility?

Plan to use my impact tool with an old compressor of mine, here's the specs:

    Tokyo Shibaura Electric Co. Ltd

    Pressure: 9.9 kgf/cm (kg-force per square cm)

    Revolution: 1070 rpm

    Tank volume: 150

Max pressure: 11 kgf/cm (kg-force per square cm)

I am not good in conversions, so can my impact tool be used with this compressor?

    IR 285-AP-6

  • Help! Ingersoll Rand 285-AP-6 Impact Tool?

The 1in drive impact wrench that I've ordered for my shop has finally arrived. It is beautiful and looks very reliable, can't wait to use it.

Now my problem is putting it into operation. My compressor meets the 10cfm requirement for the wrench but I'm a bit confused with the compressor set-up, it says I'd need a filter-lubricator system in between. Is this really necessary? can someone provide me a diagram showing the tool, where the hoses should go and where do I place the lubricator system in between? and what other stuff do I need to know

I was thinking of directly plugging in the impact wrench to my compressor when I stumbled upon this note in the operating manual about a lubricator system in between

    Here's the diagram on irtools.com

  • Torn between two impact wrenches?

I've finally decided to get a 1in impact wrench (Ingersoll-rand) to use in my shop. Now I've narrowed the choices to two.

    Ingersoll-Rand 217XP or Ingersoll-Rand 285-B

Both seem to have the same specs except that the 217XP looks more like 3/4" gun and the latter, a mini-battering ram. i am just going to use it for tire removal of big trucks (32mm-41mm)

    Help!

  • I cannot connect to the internet. Trojan problem?

I have a HSDPA device to connect to the internet. Just recently I had difficulty connecting to my yahoo mail and some other websites because of virus alerts that trojans have penetrated my system. I've removed them using AVG and now here I am starting to have difficulty in internet access. Other websites work perfectly fine it is the email and search engines which I've encountered problems. I've tried the HSDPA device with other laptops and they work fine.

Whenever I'm in a wifi hotspot the same problem occurs prompting me to conclude that there something wrong with my system.

Will reformatting my hard drives and OS re-installation do the trick?
