yes, and I'm a great driver now! dont worry hun, just keep at it... I cried like a baby both times I failed and now I'm 22 ( 6 years later) and I've never had an accident or problem... say a prayer and keep practicing.

If you need a lot of extra help try to find a driver's ed class or a driving school in your area ( the yellow pages might have something listed)

  • Yes but first time was not my fault took it down town buffalo where the streets are only big enough for one car to pass and people park on both sides. Was driving down the road at the same time small school kids were waiting for the buses and so I stayed in the middle since no car was coming and to make sure a child did not jump out from between the cars she told me to head back I failed. I asked why she said it was cause I was in the middle of the road when I said why she told me to leave. She lasted a year and was fired cause of her wrong teachings. Second one I never got to take the test cause My dad stepped out of the car to sit at the bench and wait and the dump truck behind me could not get out so I crept up a foot and was failed cause I had the car in gear with out anyone in it with me and that I need not have my glasses on which I had to fight cause I had my contacts.

Yeap failed twice, and passed on third try.

No separate theory test back when I sat them

1st time I wasn't ready at all. (I kept putting the car into 1st on EVERY roundabout etc!)

2nd time was too nervous, and wasn't keeping up with the flow of traffic.

3rd time perfect run, excepting bumping a wheel against a kerb when parking up right at the VERY end. As I had both the examiner and a supervisor in the car, and I swore (clearly shown I knew I shouldn't have!) , they seem to have put it down to nerves, and didn't count it against me.

Nope. I scored 100% on my written test the first time I took it and I scored 98 on the driving first time I took it. The only thing I did wrong was the instructor told me to make a right hand turn and instead of pulling up along side the person in front of me that was going straight, I waited until they left and then made my right turn. He actually didn't have to take off those points but the lady at the counter told me no one ever passes with him and so she was surprised I scored a 98. :) But, don't feel bad, many, many people fail the first time or two. If you feel extremely nervous while taking it it can be the reason why.

No, I didn't fail the driving test. I failed the written test though the first time and then passed it the second time.

I did the home training class rather than going to drivers ed. I also didn't have to ride in the car with one of the teachers.. my mom just wrote down the hours that I drove and they were fine with that. I lucked out. =)

And no, I haven't gotten a ticket or been in a wreck yet.. *knocks on wood*

There was a lady mentioned in Joey Green's book "Famous Failures" that flunked her driving test 38 times, driving into lake Michigan twice during testing.

Yes, my theory is that the more you want something, the easier it is to be unsucessful. I had no intention of buying a car but thought I'd get the test out the way 'just in case'. I passed first time and believe me, I wasn't very bright back then so it was a fluke!

My friend who loves cars took 7 tests before succeeding.

Because I wanted a bike so much....I failed the first time :-( ....took it a week later and passed :-) It's because I wanted it so badly that I failed (in my opinion).

    No. I tried.

The first time, I had a close encounter with a sugar transporter. Fancy failing me for that - I'd seen it, I just wasn't going to give way. Strange the examiner's hair changed colour while he was screaming.

The second time, I got the same examiner and I was determined to chuck him through the windscreen with the emergency stop. He was hanging on too tight and passed me.

A former friend of mine failed three times and she didn't even take her first test until she was 18! I got my license on the first try at the age of 16. She never was a good driver anyhow!
