HELP!!! I think someone is impersonating an FBI agent...?

My friend and I met this guy who said he was an FBI agent. Said he was with some tactical unit that goes in and diffuses dangerous situations - like someone on a swat would do.

I never believed a word this sucker said, but my friend started dating the guy. He began to creep her out (finally) and she broke it off with the guy.

Here's the kicker - he's stalking her. He's going to her place of employment (she's an RN) and asking about her. He's outside her house. He's texting her crazy threatening messages. He follows her 21 yr old daughter.

On Monday, I took her to the court house and she got a peace order against this nut bucket. On Tuesday, he went to human resources at the hospital where she works and contacted the nursing board, telling them she's an alcoholic and a drug addict. (Neither of which is true) She explained the situation to the manager, and security at the hospital has been notified to watch out for this guy.

She's filling out the contempt papers, since he's violated the peace order that orders him to stay away from her place of employment, and she'll be taking them with her to court next Monday when she goes before the judge to prove why she needs more than just a temporary peace order to keep this shithead away.

My question - does anyone know if it's possible to notify or ask or tell or whatever - the FBI that there's a person who supposedly works for them that is acting in this manner, stalking and threatening someone - and if he's not actually employed by the FBI - that there's someone out there impersonating an agent?

Update:

We did call the FBI field office. He's not an agent, he did apply but was rejected. He carries a gun that they were unable to discern whether it is in fact registered or not, the idiot flashes a stinking badge, and has a wall full of "commendations" and "awards" from the "FBI". He did go to my friend's place of employment and "report" her. He did call the nursing board. All after the peace order was delivered, so I'm encouraging her to file the contempt papers for violating that peace order. If he was even slightly normal, he'd probably never have the balls to show up in court on Monday regarding the peace order, but this guy's a whack job and probably thinks he's above the law. The agent in the field office has told us to have the judge call her office on Monday and she'll verify that the guy's never been with their agency.

God, what an idiot this guy is. Can't wait to see him shrivel...and yes, she is contacting an atty about defamation and slander.

It's only impersonating an agent if he tries to use the authority. For example if he went to her job and said "Hi, I am agent Smith with the FBI and we are conducting an investigation on one of your nurses. Did you know she was an alcoholic and addicted to drugs?" Just trying to impress a women is not a crime.

I do believe she would have a case to sue for defamation of character and possibly slander. If he is telling her job things about her that clearly are not true and he knows it he could be sued. Make sure the hospital has a record of his visit and what was said.

You could contact the local FBI office and give his name and address to them and tell them that you think he is impersonating an agent. They take a very dim view of people like him.

She should tell the court and police that he impersonates an FBI agent. However if he is only lying to people and saying he is an agent then it is hard to prove or get him in trouble. He has to lie to do something like say hes an FBI agent to someone (like where she works) have the place believe him, and then get something from lying (such as personal information about her or someone else). If he doesnt use the FBI lie to get anything except women to fall for him then the police wont care.

A FBI agent has a badge so your friend should have demanded to see it.

Your best course of action is to call your nearest FBI field office. Chances are he's a liar and just a plain nut-case, but if he does work for the bureau and he's stalking someone, they'll want to know about it.

I think you've been watching too much of the 'Sons of Anarchy' on FX, but.... It's really easy to contact the FBI, just go their website and click on 'Contact Us'. There is a link ( http://www.fbi.gov/contact/fo/fo.htm ) to reach the field office in your area, you can search field offices by city, state, zip code. Good luck!
