dog + clothesline + laundry?
i have a 7 month old german shepherd puppy. i also have a clothes line where i hang the laundry. she can jerk all the clothes off the line faster than i can put them up (when i am in the house). i know it's her because the clothes are in a neat line directly under the line
how do i break her of this? i know how to treat normal behavior problems, but this one has me stumped. any suggestions, PLEASE.

Oh you just invented the best game for a dog, ever!. This is exactly that, a game for her. Firstly keep her inside when you are putting out the laundry. When she is inside give her a Kong or something to distract her. You need to end up praising her when she isn't even looking that the laundry and correct her or redirect her when she is outside but first you need to keep her inside for a bit while you hang the clothes.
A good positive only trainer could show you a few techniques.

This is funny to read, but I'm sure having to wash the clothes several times isn't. Is there's any way you can re-attach the clothesline higher up, or move it completely out of the area she's in? Otherwise you might have to use the dryer. Good luck!

Sounds cute, I'd love to see her do that. Clothes dryer or clothes line prop..which is nothing but a BIG stick with a groove in it.that props up the line. I'd just put them in the dryer.
