Why oh why oh why do the republicans ALWAYS have an old man as their candidate? They tried to save themselves with a younger beauty queen as running mate. Seems the republicans ALSO need a change.

Republican seem to hold their congressional seats longer than Dems. This might contribute to the fact that there aren't that many young and experienced Reps. I think both parties need to resolve their problems

they go by the traditional thinking of older meaning wiser. conservatives dont like to stray from tradition too much

Because most of their senators are dull old men, so they have little else to choose from.
