can I get unemployment if i was laid off a couple weeks after I was hired?
I found out we were all loosing our jobs the second day I was on the job. Our store got the X and we'll still be working throughout the liquidation process. but that only puts me on the books for a few weeks. can I collect unemployment or is there a minimum time I'd have to work there for?

Whether you worked at a job for years or a week, your employer paid for unemployment insurance. So, yes, you should be eligible for unemployment. Check the site below for some good tips on handling getting laid off from a job.
