Does a yearly female exam, pap smear include a routine rectal exam?

LOL! Some doctors do, some don't. My friend had the same thing happen to her! She said she nearly came off the table! She said she now asks before going to a doctor if they do that. If they say yes, then she finds one that doesn't.

Some doctors do. But of course you can refuse it. It's just part of the full physical exam.

I had an elderly ob-gyn do this with me when i was pregnant and needless to say i changed doctors as id never heard of this before.......id like to know why this is done sometimes.....

Women get prostate cancer too. It is usually done after the age of 40 on women.

my dr. dont do anything to my rectal!
