What's the wisest thing you've heard from the mouth of a child?

My granddaughter came out of nursery yesterday and said to her Mum 'I never get a badge for being good.' Then she had a think about it and said 'That's because I'm never good.' An epiphany!

Well, a 5 year old actress got asked how she dealt with her hair being cut (as she played a young boy in a film) and she replied that she was sad for a while but she let it go because life is short and you've got to enjoy it.

I find that many adults don't even realise this so I thought that was really clever.

I have a 6 year old cousin who once said to me that, heaven is not a place you can go as a human, you have to become more than human, you have to become a spiritual being.

I think she and her friend were talking about whether or not you can go strait through space and get to heaven, and Keenly was just giving her friend the facts.

I went to the 5th birthday party of my best friends little girl. (My friend had died 3 years earlier)

The kids all had goody bags, I told the birthday girl " I didn't get one" She said only the kids get them, and I said " Awwwwwww, that's not fair"( you know how we talk to kids!)

She said, " don't say that, because life's NOT fair"

When I asked my 4-year-old nephew what he wanted to be when he grew up he thought for a while and responded: 'A Possum'

Child: "are you a girl or a boy?"

Me: "Why does it matter?"

Child: " Because I am having an argument and want to be right."

You know, my kids say things all the time that I think are witty but now that you have me on the spot I can't think of a single thing! lol
