Is it safe to drink hot tea from a mug made with lead?

I bought 2 sets of matching cups. One set was made in Mexico and is fine. The other was made in China. I put it in the microwave to heat water for tea, and the handle was so hot it burned my fingers.

I figure that means it has some kind of metal in it, probably lead. Is it safe to drink the tea? Does the lead leach out into the hot water?

Yep. A mug of warm tea is in basic terms high quality. opposite to different posters, in basic terms by way of fact a tea does not have caffeine, does not unavoidably make it recommended to have in being pregnant. Now, I say one cup is in basic terms high quality, yet so lots greater is many times used approximately black tea and its impacts on being pregnant and almost no longer something approximately different teas. case in point, 2 cups of peppermint tea on a regular basis will heavily shrink the hiritisis (severe facial hair in many circumstances linked with PCOS). that's believed by employing those Turkish medical doctors who publicized this that something interior the tea binds with testosterone, removing it from the blood (which additionally ends up in diminished libido in adult men). high quality and nicely. in spite of the undeniable fact that, what might that do to a boy fetus? or possibly a woman fetus for that remember by way of fact that women do want some testosterone? it fairly is to no longer scare you out of your cup of tea, yet to coach you that there is lots they do no longer comprehend approximately. BTW, ginger tea has been used for hundreds of years for morning ailment and so some distance as i comprehend, has no problems.

No -- please be safe and use the mug to hold flowers, not your tea.
