Unsure what to do about one friend?
For about a month or so, I basically cut off contact with one of my friends, because I found that he tended to take me for granted and take advantage of me. This was made easier by the fact that he worked on weekends. He's begun to think (rightly) that I am not exactly happy with him, and I feel somewhat guilted by it. What should I do?

Their is no reason to feel guilty. If you feel like he isn't taking you for granted as much anymore, try to hang out with him more. If he asks why, just tell him the truth. Good luck.

You will see and have this all your life. There are people out there that do not understand the meaning of friendship. I had to explain to my kids that if you have five friends from the time to the start of school all the way through college those are true friends. All other are just passing through. They learned how to weed them out. Doesn't mean you have to stop talking with them , you just don't really call or hang out. Put when you see them you talk to them. You will have sound mind and body at that point. Just don't over thing friendship.

just say that you needed some space, and that you felt like he was taking advantage of you. If hes really your friend then he will be sorry, but if hes not, then he'll get mad at you. If he gets mad, then he's not really your friend.

just tell him why you've stopped talking to him. if he's worth keeping then you guys can talk and work things out. if he isn't worth keeping then at least he knows.
