  • Is this a good Fantasy Baseball trade?

I have a surplus of pitching, but need some more stability in the back end of the bullpen, and punch from my shortstop/outfield positions. I give:

    SP Justin Verlander

    OF Jacoby Ellsbury

    SS Alexei Ramirez

    C Russell Martin

    RP Jonathan Papelbon

    for

    SS Hanley Ramirez

    C Brian McCann

    OF Carlos Lee

    RP Jonathan Broxton

  • Vetoing Fantasy Baseball Trades?

I'm just wondering what people think about the ethics/implications of vetoing a Fantasy Baseball trade. I've been trying for weeks to complete a deal which I believe would have filled my needs, but one guy in my league keeps vetoing every deal I make, regardless of whether it's fair or not (I like to think they are all fair). It's becoming a severe impediment to me, as he's even telling people specifically to veto my trades. There is the possibility that he is just being an ********, but I'd like to know what other people think.

I need a shortstop, and some sheer offensive punch, while I have speed and pitching to offer.

    The deal I proposed was:

    C Russell Martin

    OF Jacoby Ellsbury

    SS Alexei Ramirez

    RP Jonathan Papelbon

    SP Justin Verlander

    in exchange for

    SS Hanley Ramirez

    C Brian McCann

    OF Carlos Lee

    RP Jonathan Broxton

I don't think the deal looks ridiculously unfair, but I might be wrong.

  • Question for making brownies?

If I make brownies following the instructions on the box, can I just add in chocolate chips/ candy (M&M's, Twix, Junior Mints, etc.) without changing any of the baking times? Is there anything I need to know about adding candy into brownies?

  • Dwight Gooden's potential?

What do you think Dwight Gooden would've accomplished if he had played his entire career without resorting to cocaine? I personally think he would've been a slam-dunk first ballot Hall of Famer, with 300-350 wins, 3,500-4,000 strikeouts, a sub-3.00 ERA, and at least three Cy Young Awards. While you're at it, feel free to list any players you feel grossly underachieved.

  • Unsure what to do about one friend?

For about a month or so, I basically cut off contact with one of my friends, because I found that he tended to take me for granted and take advantage of me. This was made easier by the fact that he worked on weekends. He's begun to think (rightly) that I am not exactly happy with him, and I feel somewhat guilted by it. What should I do?

  • I always feel guilty?

A lot of times, I'll make fun of God. And it's funny to me, but I always feel really bad, but I just keep on doing it. What should I do?

  • Did I get ripped off?

For 16 dollars, I got a 2007 Jarrod Parker Tristar Prospects Plus graded card, Gem Mint 10, a Javy Lopez Game Used Jersey Card, an Albert Pujols card (just regular card), a Daisuke Matsuzaka rookie card (Topps 2007), a pack of 2008 Upper Deck Series 1, an Eric Byrnes Pacific Rookie Card (it says 29/36 on it), and a 33 card set of something called a K-Mart Collectors' Edition, with an assortment of star players from 1989.

  • Did I get a good deal?

I paid about fifteen dollars for a Manny Ramirez Rookie Card (Upper Deck 1992), which was professionally graded as a 10 (Gem Mint).

  • How can I stay focused on studying?

I need to study a lot for the AP US History exam and the SATs, but I always have horrible time management. How should I stay focused on studying? A big source of trouble is the computer, but I need the computer for practicing online SAT stuff and typing things up for APUSH and my other classes at school.

  • How can I get better sleeping habits?

I used to have really good sleeping habits, going to bed at like 10 and getting up at 7, but for a long time, I've been going to bed at around 1-2 and getting up at 7 (school days) or 3-5 on the weekend and getting up at 1-2 in the afternoon.

  • Ways to Study for APUSH?

So I didn't get the class after spending 50 hours doing the homework and studying (making tons of flashcards, reviewing the material). I decided I didn't want my time to go to waste, and am going to start studying for the AP exam. How should I study for it? I'm thinking I just need to read the book and do outlines or something like that.

  • Should I pursue this further?

I'm extremely annoyed at my group for a project. I kept on trying to be productive, but when I needed to use the computer whenever we met up, they would just be hogging it playing computer games. Finally, they realized the day before the project was due that they were screwed and I ended up doing like 80-90 percent of the work (5 people in the group). I worked on the stuff from 9 to 5 in the morning, and my group was just like, "Whatever." Should I just let this go and accept that they took advantage of me, or should I be angry that they dumped everything on me and basically showed no gratitude for salvaging the project. It makes my blood boil to think that they'll be getting the same grade as me for doing way less work.

  • Is it worth it to get a PSP?

Should I pay the money for a PSP and some games? I have enough for it, I'm just wondering if it's worth the price (solely based on the gaming).

  • Working Out?

I'm just wondering: Will it be possible for me to get stronger and faster just by doing push-ups, sit-ups, and running long distances? I plan to do some sprinting, but I am just wondering what kind of results I can expect from this and how I should vary my workout. Buying equipment or a gym membership isn't really a viable option for me right now. Will I be able to get significantly stronger from doing these kinds of exercises?

  • What do you think of my story?

I have written a 35,000 word story about a boy whose life has been completely ruined by the things people have done to him. He suffers emotional trauma and is trapped in his own demented world, shunned by society and gradually becoming insane. Eventually, he snaps and begins exacting his revenge on people who have made his life difficult.
