Is this a good Fantasy Baseball trade?
I have a surplus of pitching, but need some more stability in the back end of the bullpen, and punch from my shortstop/outfield positions. I give:
SP Justin Verlander
OF Jacoby Ellsbury
SS Alexei Ramirez
C Russell Martin
RP Jonathan Papelbon
for
SS Hanley Ramirez
C Brian McCann
OF Carlos Lee
RP Jonathan Broxton

It's good for you, not for him, you're getting an upgrade at every position and Broxton is a machine. Lee only has cramps and is listed as day-to-day so unless they're holding out on info he should be good. Do the trade but don't be surprised if the league votes it down.

Well what do you have for other SP's? Verlander is a pretty big hit to take unless you have some good starters. Broxton and Pap are a wash, they are both great. You get an advantage on the catchers and Lee and Ramirez is def a huge upgrade from Ellsbury and Ramirez. Giving up Verlander evens it a little but I would say do the trade, you get the upgrade especially if you have other good starters.

Yes, great trade. The only valuable person you are giving up is Papelbon and saves are only one category. Broxton can get more saves because LA has te best record in baseball (I think). HanRam, McCann, and Lee are all potential all stars, You are ripping that guy off.

Even with your excess pitching, your giving up a lot in this deal. Lee is on the DL but he'll be back and put up good numbers and Ramirez always puts up stats, but that's pretty much it. Your giving up two top pitchers and Ellsbury (underrated).
I wouldn't make this deal.

Yes good trade if you need to beef up your SS and OF positions. I'm assuming also that you're in pretty good shape with SBs.

well Lee just went on the dl........... Verlander is playing like the Cy Young, I like Papelbon over Broxton, but the rest is fine. I wouldn't do it.

makes a lot of sense but Verlander is a starter who are you getting in return for another starter that question hasn't been fulfilled obviously.

Why even ask this, you should know that this is one of those "can't pass up" kinda trades. Go for it.
